Same. Typical good day wave from our trip: 20 yards done, 500 yards left to go. Mostly likely the wave will be the same chest high size 15 turns later.
Nice pic Mitchell I'll see if I can find any from my trip. It was not big when we were there, but fun. The next week I heard it was flat.
Chicama the third point: Chicama: The wave at Juanchaco, small that day Buddy of mine: Friend of mine: she rips.
found one from my trip.....it was pumping...nonstop wave machine......timed this dude on a sup (turd noise) ride a wave for 2:43 !!!
I'd like to sneak off for a few days and do a "surgical strike" mission before the winter's over, and hit the islands again. This time, solo... low budget... and lean. You guys are making me froth...
Hmmm....I just informed my wife of the very same thing.....Rincon on a large swell. Her comment?? "Are the insurances paid up"? lol
Cram myself into a seat on the cheapest Spirit Airlines flight I can get... a backpack carry-on... and a board bag. Haven't done it in a few years... ready to do it again.
I know an island, small, but has nice surf, no surfers. But it is 2 flights with NO boards. With boards, one flight, then drive to a ferry. Hotels on a surgical strike problem to secure.
I would be hitting Rincon right now if I was on a surgical strike and leaving tomorrow or next day. It was head - overhead today and clean. I find SI is a bit conservative, so it's most likely bigger than forecasted.
I’d have been there this whole week... Probably out of my wheelhouse anyways. At least I got my airfair back. Another time for sure.
You're right. My guess would be 4.3' @ 10sec is probably a bit bigger than they're calling, but not by very much. Once you get into periods over 10sec the forecast is usually significantly undercalled. I've seen 2.5' @ 13sec show up as overhead on set down there.... ...which is nice. Barry?
If Tres Palmas isn't forecasted to break, I will keep my gunpowder dry. That picture gram above isn't going to make Tres even bubble......
Yeah, and this week many are on vacation--hundreds of kooks in the water with you, especially on the weekend. Of course, there is Wilderness......
If you get in before sunrise you'll have plenty of space to move aboot and catch some overhead liners. Sunday DP looks siiiick at the Point!
Those days are now gone, DP. Next time you go, you will be shocked by the crowds, even at first light.
