Thats sick steelwave 20 pts in 2 yrs that how you do it. I got busted doing 135 got arrested and no licence for 2 yrs plus 6k in fines!!! Bottom line don't run from the cops it's not worth it!!!
thats badass, OBP sti's are hot. we got my buddy's white one on the cover of modified magazine last month for winning their time attack invitational, check out the article if youre bored (or really into scoobys) http://www.full-race.com/modified08/ get the xterra in hawaii, i have some freinds that are really into offroading, we took a stock cherokee through some crazy sh?t in the kahuku mountains, its unreal what that thing is capable of when you weld the diffs up -i do turbos only, and no v8s. -if you dont want to make your car unreliable, dont boost it -if you like taking turns at high speeds, keep the engine stock. get some bilsteins or koni (no other shocks, def not tokicko), and some dunlop Z1 star spec tires. then go to driving school and learn to autocross... worry about power later -dont get cross drilled rotors, and i dont even like slotted. they look baller, but work worse than blanks. if anything, get some good brembo blanks and badass brake pads like Porterfield R1S edit: yes, do not run from the cops
They are really capable. Seeing they are as narrow and only slightly longer than the YJs. I would love to have another one of them, but I just can't afford this much car **** along with paying my way through college... I am from Squan, but I don't have any mods on it as of now. I would like to.
Windswell, thanks for the info I appreciate it. Ill have to look into that driving school sounds like fun. I took a class out in VA one time and we got to learn how to do J turns it was a blast. So those cross drilled and slotted are just for looks? Ive definitely heard of brembo, so Ill start shopping.. maybe santa will bring me some heh heh. Yeah you may be able to outrun the patrol car.. but you cant outrun a radio or a chopter.
Helicopter. Heh You're really against the drilled and slotted? Why? I mean, I know the idea behind them but I've never used them before. They are supposed to drastically reduce the temperature of the brakes. I can see if you're not actually racing (or riding your brakes like an idiot) you don't have to worry about the temperature of the brakes.
the slots and/or holes in the rotors were invented to "vent" the gasses generated by brake pads during hard braking. this is called "outgassing" modern brake pads do not outgas, so the slots and the holes only serve to reduce the braking surface. if you want killer brakes, get killer pads and good brake fluid. thats all there is to it. I have to admit rocking drilled/slotted rotors on occasion only for looks, but they dont help stop any faster
I dont know if they are effective or not, but the cross dilled stainless rotors with painted calipers look bad ass.
Full-Race is your shop?!?!?! Who are you?! I had Jeff Evans tune my N/A Integra. The 94 civic...is that the coupe you guys had built? PS. How do you quote multiple people at once?
4Runner baby!! with 170,000 miles. My first one was still running fine with 230,000 when i sold it! Toyota for life.
No splash guards....I keep an extra oil pump in my trunk just in case. Already cracked 2. My sub frame right now is less then 2 inches from the ground and a I can still go lower.......I have to drive up on 2x4's just to jack up my car 3 oil pans 2 oil pumps......damn NJ roads. Surfing and my VW's are pretty much my life...
ive worked on a few, but i really dislike the porsche motor. If you want to build a badass 944, in all hoensty you need to yank the porsche motor and install a nissan SR20DET or honda s2000 engine... the porsche engine doesnt work that well, and is $$$$$. most of the 944 turbokits ive seen are haggard and absurdly over priced. we call that "rice"... you might be more familiar with "kook" lol ... dont do it! if anything save for some brembos, that is worth the money. my name is geoff, i started full-race in NJ 7 years ago. i helped get jeff evans started about 4 years back. If you are bored this weekend check us out at etown should be a siiick event if you were into hondas. biggest street honda race to date, $10k ++ on the line for the winner. the 94 coupe is mine, it sat for the past 2 years, i just got it together last week, but its not going to be competitive so im putting it on display instead of racing to quote multiple people hit the "+" right next to "Quote" hell yeah my 4 runner is ridiculous, 198k miles, drove from coast to coast 8 times, been to baja, cali, obx, nj, fl, the thing just takes it. best $2k i ever spent
Holy ****!!! It's a pleasure man to chat with you. I knew you grew up in NJ and everything and are now one the most inspirational and best companies out there. I never expected you to be on this board nor knew you surfed. Let's shred sometime if you can!! Here's my dyno from my N/A Integra... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/xfewandproudx/7051383f.jpg And for all you horsepower freaks out there... check out these 2 cars from dudes I know... 92' civic hatch - 761whp, 460fltlbs - http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/ind...ndID=33846409&albumID=828469&imageID=43781346 civic coupe - look at the numbers yourself - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/xfewandproudx/l_75072070439519e51bf4bc90b797898e.jpg
thanks alot for the props, im honored!! my whole life ive been obsessed with turbo cars and surfboards, but i knew i couldnt make a living surfing lol. Im down to surf whenever im in NJ (as much as possible, i love it here) otherwise im on the west coast. im in town for the race at etown this weekend and since it doesnt look like any waves are coming real soon, ill go back to the west coast for a cpl weeks. hopefully be back here early november or so. looks like the west coast is working well right now, which figures becuase all the other guys from my shop are surfing at huntington waiting for the formulaD event tomorrow if you and your friends arent doing anything you should come check us out at englishtown. neither of your buddies are racing, are they? do either of them use our parts? its kind of crazy but all i do anymore are STI's and evos. if you decide to start working on your car let me know, ive got these things wired like the hondas
HAHA... I'm honored to be chatting with you about surfing and cars! If I was you, I'd stay on the west coast!! ... many more wavessss. I will see what's up this weekend, as of now, I do not have any plans. I haven't talked to my buddies with those cars lately, and yeah last I knew, they both sported Full-Race stickers on their cars with your setup and they have raced ATCO and E-Town a bunch of times. I'm sure they will be there regardless. And yeah, I want to start doing things to the STI, that would be nuts. It's only got 15k miles on it too. I wouldn't be looking into anything crazy for it for now, but if I was to do minor things what would you suggest? CHEERS!!
For windswellsucks... Rep the Full-Race... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/xfewandproudx/F-R.jpg http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/ind...ndID=33846409&albumID=828469&imageID=27984884
Sounds like some sick rides that everyone is scooting around in here on the board... I LOVE cars and bikes so in the interest of satisfying my boredom, figured I would chime in -- even though I'm likely going to get flamed for my choice of rides: Daily driver: 05 Infiniti G35x Bike: 04 HD Heritage Classic fully customized (adding a couple of bikes to the stable in the Spring -- one undecided for the girl and a 09 Ducati 848S (yet to be released)) Pedal power: 08 Volume Z06 urban BMX with 26" wheels Pics attached.
