..seems like the sand has been pretty weird at my usual "go to" spot when the tides just about filled in, which is a bummer because it used to be sweet not to long ago. someone has gotta know somewhere that works fairly well. lately it seems the only time i have been able to get on it is when its really, really fat. if anyone can pm me a little knowledge on where it has been working right around high tide i will find a way to return the favor... its not gay, its networking. PS. "take a day man, do a little exploring. go hunting for a spot to call your own, its what surfing is all about" Read that more than once lurking around here. save it, i got it. The days are getting too short and gas is too expensive for me to go exploring. Not trying to sound lazy but my name isn't Dora, its just that simple. Someone, anyone, please send a little love to my inbox and help a guy out. Yours truly, Larry David
Dear mr Birkenstocks, I am from Belmar (the best break on the east coast- maybe you have heard of it) but I would like to offer some advise: 1. Move to Belmar Nj and surf 16th ave 2. Isn't there a spot just south of you near and army base or something that has some waves? Called crouton or something? Idk... Like I said, I'm only interested in Belmar (since it's the best spot) I have no time to remember other spots. Thank you for your nice post and thread. Yours truly Mr Belmar
Most of the breaks in VB have been fugged up by the city removing storm drains from the dunes. Croatan seems like it gets better waves than 1st st. 1st st. better than the remaining. North end's beach ends where the outside break used to be. I'm going to get my buddy to take me to False Cape in his boat. So, Please god, let it be flat when I get there. In geebus' name, gracias.
The "army" needs to go away. They hold down our economy by commandeering all the prime real estate along the beach just so the admiral has a view.
