    WHen is everyone switching over to 3.2 with no hood, curious becuase my 5 ripped and wondering whens my best bet to get back in the water without buying a new suit

    never. the water's going to stay in the 40's until next winter. then it'll go back down into the 30's. you're f--ked.

    next week and by april I am in birdwells and a beaver tail LOL

    Nah i am in a 3/2 by mid april depnding on how fast it warms up

    about 55 degrees and i wear a flatlock 3/2 with booties only. Any colder is full 543 hood gloves etc

    Dude why dont you just fix your 5mm? They make wetsuit cement and other products to get the job done.

    usually May. early May can still be real cold, but a nice warm day can help the cause.

    i can usually do 3/2 in water at least 50 degrees, and sunny or warm or just fairly mild air temperature. so for me i hope i can be using mine in april. last year i surfed on st patricks day with a 3/2, and no hood. i think the water temp was maybe a couple degrees higher. then again it was maybe very well around the same temperature as it is now, but the air temperature was a lot warmer that day. 75 degrees i think.
