I don't take work very seriously, so, f*ck it! call out, that's what paid time off is for.

 

its not for everyone, but the hassles and uncertainties of owning a business are far outweighed by never having to factor this into your life. Then again, I'm not surfing tomorrow morning because I choose to be in North Jersey meeting with a potential client so there you have it

 

I used to miss a lot of swells when I had a real job. it got to a point where I talked to the boss and got a chest high and over clause put in. the 1st time I got to use it, I had 3 hours of fun with no one out. then the aggro after work crew showed up and I got stabbed in the bottom of my foot by a fin. I ate doo on a good size wave and was in the spin cycle when something hit my foot. when I came up there was a board upside down in front of me with 4 little knives attached. who needs kelp cutting fins in Va? I ended up missing a few weeks of work, but getting paid cause I had short term disability insurance. The chest high and over clause was rescinded.
