Thanks mattyb. Just leaving Asbury now to scope a spot south someone PMd me on. Asbury was interesting and your small waves here beat the ballz off ours! Looks like the Stone Pony gets serious acts playing there. Skated the Carver through some open air hangar structure with marble floors in the way to scope the jetty waves and the homeless here were cheering me on. Talked to a braddah who just finished a sesh and he was personable. Could've been my FREE POHAN neon tank that sweetened the locals but I'm digging this place already!
Oh, don't waste your time checking long branch. Its a lake since replenishment and the sand has moved to the sand bars that used to break nicely north of lb too. Sucks.
Just got stoked on a few rides at SL thanks to GoodVibes and 3rdperson's suggestions. Way under-foamed in small windswell on a 5'8 pointed nose fish but that's what fit in my truck with all my other weekend gear. Still went pah pah pah down the line and back to the mushy lips that presented themselves. Can really see how this place can go off though. Doesn't take much to go hollow here! Wicked nice peeps both in the water and on the beach. No less than 4 people starting convos with me this morning. I must've known 1634 of the idiots from Jerz to form my previous longtime opinion. Major difference in socioeconomics going from Asbury to SL, wow. Got to give BelMar the drive by. 23" today though. Couldn't believe the speed limit there is 23!!
