I'm João, a Portuguese web developer and occasionally surfer. I always had the problem to know which are the best spots to surf today, near me. Every day we have different weather and swell conditions, so every day different spots will have different surf. So I decide to solve this problem, and built a website which calculates the surf score (0 to 100, 100 is best) for each beach with today's weather conditions. The website has a database of beaches (133 in total), grabs today's (and tomorrow) weather conditions, and calculates a score via an algorithm I developed. The user interface has 2 sliders, one to change the maximum distance you want to see results (default 50 Kms) and the other one to change the minimum score you want to see results (default 60). It's still in beta, but you can use it at http://wheretosurftoday.com The site just gives results for beaches under 100 Kms from your location, so if you are away from Portugal you will not see any results. You can always use the map to see all the beaches, or jump to search to view the complete list of beaches, ordered by north to south. Click/touch the beach to see more information about it. If you have any doubt, suggestion or critic, use the contact form on the site or join the Facebook community in https://www.facebook.com/wheretosurftoday/ Hope you enjoy it.
Hey d*ckalix, I noticed this is your first post. Try an intro thread including pics of your woman and what your type of surfbort you ride along with a full bio on yourself and let the gang jump you in propre like. Don't come in here promoting your sh*t unless you want your d*ck kicked in. Signed, DPSUP
^^^This. Also, is this just for Portugal, or are you trying to get us focked in the ass with more people in the water? There doesn't need to be an app for everything. Let the worthy figure it out themselves. Just stop. Focking millenials. I'm 34, does that make me a 'millenial'?
Aight, I could live with that. Man, beats the schit outta me...I'm right there with ya I'll be 35 in May. We're still young tho DP.
