+1. For at least part of the year (autumn).
I'd add to your surfing aspects: wine, the women look good (and are slender) even as they age, the food, the food, the food....two sorta downsides: really helps to know the language & it might be more expensive than even here.

Morro Bay on the Central Calif Coast. Actually any number of places from Pismo Beach north to Monterey. Clean water, fresh air, beautiful coastline. Surfing, kayaking, fishing. Nice lakes, lots of vineyards. Santa Maria barbeque (have you ever had tri-tip?) and good Mexican food. A great county fair and general laid back vibe. I went to college in San Luis Obispo.

    Sounds terrific. Seriously.

Just asking not being snarky...there's always a degree of downside to any place ..are great whites the damper?

The northern portion of the Central Coast, from Big Sur up to Marin County (just north of San Fran), is within what is known as the "Red Triangle". But attacks have also occurred further south. Whites like the seals and sea lions which apparently have been increasing in numbers.

Yeah, what can you do? If I would have called my thread THE HANGOVER IV I would have won an oscar because that was just the beginning of a 58 hour ordeal. But luckily McGruff the Crime Dog intervenned and saved me from the brink of disaster. I'm ok now.

Thanks Jesus(WalkingonH2O) for your concern. I'm all better now. Cured. Jesus has a good attitude on here doesn't he?

Hey Oipaul, read any good John D. Fitzgerald novels lately? Kill any liberals?

Tax burden is oppressive? Dude, they get 2 months vacation a year. They get free college educations. They get like a year's maternity leave........they get all sorts o' stuff for their tax dollars. Totally twitchen. Our tax dollars go to committees to investigate non-issues like a terrorist attack in Libya. That's Libya. Or senate hearings to investigate steroid use in Major League Baseball........

SouthJellyBeans, I thought you'd finally been forceably committed for your own good. And really who cares about something as minor as a US ambassador being killed? Nothing to see here Folks, business as usual! Too bad your incoherent rantings are somewhat diluted by the other minor league deludeds that have popped up here, your star does not shine so bright....

Hey Oipaul are you concerned aboot the multitude of Americans being violently killed every single day right here in America? I didn't think so. Banghazi is just political foder....ammo for the right. You do know where Libya is right? Kind of a dangerous place for Americanos, no? OMG what did Obamy call the attack three hours after it happened???? A planned terorist attack or a spur-of-the-moment uprising ???? Who friggin cares.

Hey, since you care aboot ambassadors so much, I bet you can't name ONE ambassador off the top of your head. I knew it...........

My rantings are only considered "incoherent" by stupid people, Oipaul. Like, I have never gotten less than a B in any paper I have submitted during my academic career so there must be some coherence going down there.

And actually babycakes, I never tried "to shine" here. I got put on a pedastal by the dudes who came at me for a bit o' scrap. So blame them. I'm just a humble, wave riding lunatic. And really Oipaul, what would being a "star" on a surf perdicting website forum really do for me? Not much, huh.........

Anyways, nice to talk to you again, Oipaul. So, what you reading these days? Anything good out there?

Everything is ok, Surfdog. No need for concern, but thanks nonetheless. As they say on the streets, "Good lookin' out man."

And if Camden worried you, take heed: I have an old friend who partakes in Camden, NJ activities to this day, and finds it necessary to call me when he's there. So the other day was losely based on his calls. Though he never claimed sexual assault, three months ago he awoke in a hotel and kept telling me, "Something wasn't right........." Never found out what that was. Jesus, last weekend he spent the whole night on the eastside hanging with some old-head in some patch-of-trees hide-out spot. And by whole night I mean Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning, like 10:00 am. Crazy.

Though every friggin time I go in the water my eyes burn afterwards. It don't matter if it's sunny and 85 F or raining and 37 F, so it t'aint the sun. Them over-the-counter eyedrops don't do anything either. Shoot, if I lived in California I could get a medical marijuana card for this condition. My right eye is burning fierce right now.

What do I have to do? Go Aqua Man, Big Bang Theroy dorky and wear goggles in the water now?

Oh lastly, my response to Oipaul was NOT, in any way, set in an angry tone. It wasn't actually ranting. I was almost jovial in tone. I get a kick out of Oipaul, he doesn't get me angry. I've rarely been angry on here. Dudes, we're surfers. We are too stupid to get angry.

SouthJellybeans, its so good to have you back. Did your group home invest in a new shared computer? You know if the mentally challenged are free to urinate and defecate all over public spaces in real life they should certainly be allowed to do the same on the internet. So go forth and eliminate freely my friend!
P.S. you might enjoy Stephen Pressfield's "The Afghan Campaign" a novelization of Alexander the Great's invasion of Afghanistan in 330 B.C., interesting and relevant to what's happening today.

    Where would you go

One shot to the face to drop him and then I would have stood there with one foot on his nads and the other on his throat and told him what I thought of him. No matter how long it took....
