Which board please help!

    Hi, my brother and I are learning to surf. He's 6'1 and 130lbs. I'm 5'4 and 108lbs. We are looking at an epoxy/kevlar funboard that's 7'6, or a greco 8' oft top foamboard. My feelings are that the greco would be easier to learn on, but we might outgrow it quickly and never use it again, where as the first one may last longer, or we may want to keep it.

    I'd reccomend that you guys go to the nearest McDonald's and eat 35 Mcdoubles apiece

    Get the foamie. I've been surfing for 35 years and still have fun on those things.

    Agreed. Got one few years back to teach with. Still fun.

    Saw a guy last week taking off 20 feet behind the jetty on one of those, ripped across almost dry rock and rode the wave all the way to the pipe.
