I found one for a decent price that's basically new. I've been in the market for a 6'-ish egg, probably single fin. This disc is 5'10" and quad only. The most obvious difference from this "disc" to most eggs is that it's slightly less pulled in on both the nose and tail, but only slightly. Searching swaylocks, etc for info on "discs" doesn't bring up much at all. So, my question, to yall is, how do so called "discs" and "eggs" actually differ if at all? Bottom contours? From what little I have been able to gather, discs are generally ridden shorter than an "egg" would be, but otherwise there's not much difference. This 5'10" would probably be considered too big for me by "disc" standards, but I'm not a shortboarder and this won't be a groveler per se. This would be used in waist high and up. I guess my main concern is I don't want it to be TOO floaty and skippy on somewhat larger waves because it is epoxy and thick. But again, I'm not a shortboarder so I like some float.
