Lolz too funny. I forgot to add my last time out coincided with my first Osprey hearing/sighting of the seasonne.
Cool. We've got an osprey that hangs out on the old radar tower at my beach. We converse all the time.
Got out for 30-45 minutes this morning before work on a high tide. Turns out the swell peaked over night but still some well overhead sets out there. I tweaked my shoulder and cut my session short. Same shoulder I've been having issues with. It didn't separate or dislocate this time, but almost. It's a little stiff right now but some Aleve and some more herb and i'm good to go again. Tomorrow looks really fun too. Here are some pics I found from a spot North of where I was at, not as much size as the spot I was at, but very nice looking none the less. http://www.gulfster.com/Daily/2016PictureGallery/040716ec/index.html
Thanks Z, shoulder is what it is. It's better than it was a year ago, but it's not where it needs to be yet, so I play it safe and try to not take another major set back. I just recently started doing push ups and hitting the punching bag again. My left arm is way behind my right at the moment. It's functional enough to surf 99% of the time, so I can't complain too much though.
Careful on the bag dude, I hung the ol' bag back up in the garage a few years back and started wailing away like I was a young un' again and jacked my already jacked up shoulder good. Hurt like hell for a couple weeks after. Now I just take it light. Hope it heals up man.
Yeah, I make sure to keep my elbows tucked and punches compact so that my shoulders don't get too stretched out on impact leaving them vulnerable. I keep the power shots with my left below the chest / head area and use my right for overhands and hooks up top, go low to the body with the left. I figure it's a start. Thanks for the advise though, I'm a bit of a knucklehead and can get carried away lol. There was a time where my right shoulder was as bad as my left is right now, but it's been really durable for several years now, so i'm hoping my left will get there eventually too.
Yeah it is! Really got good on the Delmarva this afternoon. These goofy pictures don't do it justice....It was ON! So stoked on this afternoon's session and thinking the morning could be even better.
Nice pics DSUP. Lay off the boxing-- it'll wreck your shoulder good. Had to work today sure was looking good on the webcam.
Too much current and funky wind direction here today... but Del had the good! You guys get primo conditions so much more often than us.
