Yes sir, got in the water about 6:45 and got out at 11:00. Really fun, wore the 3/2, no head gear and no crowd!
It really was a fun day! Pic is not that clear because it was from my phone. It was a little bigger in the morn, but there were still some decent sets coming through around noon
Toonce where were you at? South coast was solid. LB you took the word right outta my mouth as far as yesterday. Chunky, solid peaks and an angry looking ocean. New England raw fkn love it. Will elobarte on pc as far as weather induced Satori.
Clean waist high waves in Belmar today. Starting getting good around noon. Got a bunch of fun rides in on le grovelier disquette. I put a trailer nubster on my quad. Just gotta say that I loved the extra hold. Didn't hold back my speed one bit. Hoping tomorrow evening is gonna push too! And I hope everyone else scored this weekend!
blew out my back doing this so i took the weekend off, it was blown out anyway. maybe the week will supply less wind and more waves, and my back will recover. still lovin the PNW
What's Happening? Glad Some of you guys been surfing this weekend. Saturday Morning was fun. Got out at the first hint of light to beat the high tide. It was still a little raw here too but the higher tide and the swell angle mellowed it a bit. Big chunky peaks to crank some turns on and it had a nice end section too. The tide filled in and ended it a touch earlier than I would have liked. But I got my fill. Who else has been surfing?
Surfed yesterday before Mother's Day festivities kicked off...From about 10-12 in Avon (NJ, that is). It was really fun. Great to be back in the water. I think the last time I surfed was early April(?). I was sweatin to the oldies in the 5mm when the sun broke-out. I am officially shedding the winter suite and hood for the next session.
None this weekend but I caught the last little bit of the Cinqo de Mayo swell event on Friday afternoon. It manifested for aboot two hours around low tide and quickly disappeared. Water and air in the low 80s so I think I can put away the 5mm, boots and gloves. The Air Force Thunderbirds were practicing for the weekend's air show in Ft Laud so we got some free air antics. Gorgeous weather the last several days. Forecast is not too promising so I'm glad I got what I could.
Great day on Saturday at Hampton Beach. I though early afternoon with a higher tide was gonna be a mess but took a ride up to at least take a look and waste some time. So glad I did. dumped out onto the back end of Hampton Beach and saw some really nice waves that were protected just enough from the onshore winds to produce some pretty clean sets. Hit the water and wave after wave from 1:45 to 3:00. Only two other surfers out there with me. Perfect session in a not so perfect day! Pics attached.
There was one rideable wave that snuck through the flatness this morning.... I caught that sum b*tch and rode the living sh*t out of it
What, no intro treade?? Anyways... Surfed yesterday after the wind switched... some fun little waves coming through for a bit... maybe chest high or so on set and hollow with the offshore wind. Swell faded to around waist high as the afternoon went on, and the guys on the LBs were having a blast. Nice to see the sun, that was for sure...
Some little fun swells running last week Crew of LB's Had a lot fun Monday afternoon when the wind switched...Saturday and Sunday had their moments too Did some hunting Saturday on the long buried island...yeah the fair weather crowds are showing up and too many peoplez talkin' aboot dredges on the online surfing scenes Looked like some little peelers up in MB this morning too...I really need a suite fish stand up surfing board LB
