I was out Tuesday and Wednesday. Tues was fun yet a little inconsistent with the sets, but when they came we were scoring long lefts, just a buddy of mine and I for about 3 hrs until a few others came around. The Sun was out too and didn't feel that cold at all. Yesterday was detonating, the sweep was way worse that the day before but man was it going off. Colder too. Felt like cane season with out the crowds and temps...real nice waves and the high tide helped it out so much other wise it would have been too much to handle. The wind backed off and some lulls finally came through to make it easy paddling out. Great past two days, I was going to skip yesterday and shoot for today but Im glad I didn't lol.. glad everyone is getting some!
ANYONE get on it this morning?? It looks better now on the cam then when I left for work this morning.... Is it worth the rush home for the before dark sesh?
I found these shots from this morning, more to come... http://www.gulfster.com/Daily/2015PictureGallery/021215ec/index.html
Anytime, if forecast holds this could last through most of the weekend. I'm anxious to get out there, luckily my wife is cool with me surfing on Saturday / Valentines Day. We're still gonna spend plenty of time together but I can go out there guilt free. Can't wait!
I just got back from Reef Road, it was about like those pics. It got a bit inconsistent with the high tide and crowded, so I am back at work. Very nice waves, good vibes in the water, long peeling lefts and a few steep rights.
Oh, I got spanked good in the shorepound, took a fin to the inner thigh, glad I had my wetsuit on or there would have been blood. It still hurts, lucky it missed my left nard. It's a jungle out there, be safe ya'll!
Delmarva was solid chest - head and glassy this morning (at least where I was - other spots were bigger) surfed about an hour and a half - the water felt especially cold for some reason. Basically no wind.
