This afternoon in Maryland. nice shape to the little waves, offshore wind hanging in all day despite blowtorch hot air temps. Knee high and just barely big enough to get a bunch of lefts on the mini simmons.

Brah - Just wait until we get the reefs tomorrow/Friday. You're never gonna want to leave!

You ever get 10 turns on one wave...?

Cali is definitely the longest wave I have ever ridden.

Today marks 5 days in a row we've had clean, green surf here in Texas. It's been waist high, maybe a little more, if ya waited for it, but it's been nice. So rare these days. It's also been cool in another way. Normally ya get outa bed early, so as to catch the cleanest stuff before the wind blows it sideways. Dawn patrol this week has been blown out, but it gets cleaner and cleaner as the day passes. It's like, "OK, it's noon time. This HAS to be the cleanest it'll get." Go out for a couple hours, and it's still gettin cleaner. Heck, it's been the best after 5 pm, even if the tide ain't the best. Bizarre, but very nice indeed.

Maybe one more day tomorrow? Or 2... a week straight...

    <pleeeze>

Chest - Head high on the Block today.
Little windy but fun. Sketchy rocks on the inside.
    Fun. Fun.

Not sure if I've gotten the full ten but something damn close to that off the pier. I love riding long waves. Those ones that peel forever are da best. Somebody pray for the EC lets get a swell next week.

RI was fun yesterday although more wind than I liked at the start. Very crowded of course because the waves have been so sparse. I think the wind kept the SUPs to a minimum though so that was a plus.

Anyone surf the spot with v. limited parking and a long paddle near 2nd beach? Looked like it was happening yesterday.

Beautiful morning today under a full moon and clear sky, enough light to paddle out that's for sure. Spot checked my 1st go-to and it was too deep and breaking on shore. Drove a little further down the road to my high tide spot and it looked like it was working from the parking lot. It was 2hrs before high tide...

As I got out of my vehicle I saw a line coming in from way outside over the dunes so I knew it had to of been breaking. Took one good look at it and grabbed my LB and hurried out just before 1st light. Right as i'm paddling out could see the light slowly starting to light up the horizon, like someone was controlling the lighting with a dimmer, but still no sun.

I caught several on the inside bar at first and after a few rides I turn around and suddenly the sun is out and glowing. That's when it started to break further outside. It was getting bigger as the tide pulsed, waist high and some plus sets thrown in there. It was mostly clean with light to almost no wind, just a light texture on the surface, which kept the face nice and workable. I got my share of fun rides and ended it on a positive with a fast ride all the way to shore that included a couple of turns, a hand drag, and a nose ride through the flats into the reform and hop off in ankle deep water.

I Love this place, can't imagine being anywhere else...

    Hello All! Summer Abandonerre reporting.
Had some decent surf on and off all "surf season." Cracked the rail of my new fish with my head trying to escape a head high close out. Nursed some old injuries that are finally catching up with me. When it was too painful to pop up, had some fun body board sessions with my wife. Still managed to surf 2/3's of June, July and half of August. Can't lie; it sucks to be back...

It's nice when the good guys win.

Let's see, it's day 6 in a row, I think. It's been a rare treat over here. Zillions of fish in the water today. Flipper was only about 25 ft away, chowin down. Today looks to be the last, really weak, but still worth goin out. It'll be back to the Lake of Mexico after that.

Unlessn Betty can send us a present.

Just in time to get home, yes please.

Surfed at Delmar 11/12 street today. Waist/stomach sets with plus sizes coming through. No wind, perfect glass. Haven't seen it like that in a while. The views from the line up are amazing. Palm trees, cliff side, crystal clear water, pelicans, fish and lots of stoked surfers all spread out. Got some really long rides. Nice faces to skate on and throw in some carves. Stoke level is pumped up. Looking to get an evening sesh with Scobes later. Off to snorkel at La Jolla.

    Laters fellas

Sure is, thanks dude. Glad TX been getting waves too. I grew up on the Gulf and lived there for most of my life (35yrs) so it's cool to see my fellow Gulfsters get some. Lots of active wild life the past couple days here too. Saw a spinner shark jump and spin around and today saw a couple dolphins jumping and flipping off in the distance.

The flat spell is finally over. Sort of. It was Waist-Chest today, but only because the tide was super high and it was all whomping shorey. Got turned into a manburger, but had a lot of fun being back in the water and skinning it. Got a bunch of awesome-looking pictures. The photos are better than the actual rides. Haha.

Did pick off the wave of the day. A sick HH+ peak came straight to me. I dropped in, it bowed and threw a perfect spinning blue barrel for me. Whooooooosh! Sweet!
