It was fun on the longboard yesterday afternoon in Jupiter. Only a couple guys on SUPs and myself at a nice sandbar with chest high peelers. Warm and sunny. Fun 50 yard glides ending in mushy mush after fun bouncy drops. Life is goode!
MD actually had some decent Longboard stuff (between the wind). No one else out due to surf earlier in the week. Us working idiots gotta take what we can get whenever we can get it.
Plenty of sharks cruising today but who cares when the waves are pretty clean, knee to waist high and you're surfing with friends. Today I was able to pop up to my feet on half dozen waves, first time in 5 weeks. Fukin A! , as youse guys might say
Holy sh*t did I have fun today. It went from nearly flat / knee high this morning to chest high with some bigger sets breaking way outside and reeling for 100 yards or so. Almost all lefts and machine like. I rode the Flashback Fish and had one of my best sessions all year. Some dude paddled over to me and said "nice drop!" after one of my best waves. It was a steep one and I just laid into the bottom turn with everything I had and went vertical with a snap off the lip, which felt amazing. It wasn't wave of the day though, there were several that were even better. It was a rail to rail type session. F'ing A...
Our waves were huge today, as large as my large toe. It finally settled down and were then the size of my smallest toe. Lots of massholes out (of their minds).
Super moon high tide had it too deep this morning. Should be fun as the tide drains out. Too bad I gotta work.
FUN past couple of days. Offshore winds today at the secret high tide spot and drainers. Must've caught 50 waves in a couple hours. The supermoon actually helped it stay deep enough so the waves would unload all the energy on the inner bar.
I didn't have time to look around for a bar that was working, the sand is all rearranged since Matthew. Were you further North?
Sweet dude, glad you scored! I love hearing swell reports from you guys down south as it usually means swell is heading our way by the next day. Looks like a lot swell coming everyone's way all this week into next.
Ah, gotcha, I rarely check there. I had a high tide bar that was working for me all summer but after Matthew and the two weeks of constant onshores following it's not the same. I did however find an old bar that disappeared in the summer but just came back, however, it hasn't been working on high tide. Good ole sand reconne, good work!
I'm glad things have shifted. A lot of people were congregating at certain spots for a while there and it was getting a little crowded. Now we hit the reset button.
just got out...surfed SP, waist to chest, offshore breezes...just a perfect november afternoon...fun 3 hour session.
