Saturday was not my best day either. Things started well enough. Got many decent rides in the first few hours. But I seemed to tire quicker than usual and by the end of my day I was surfing just terribly. Totally kooktastic. I don't think I've ever surfed the secret inlet spot with so few people in the lineup and I was just thankful there weren't many present to witness my awfulness.

It was still a great day however. So good to see Betty and her crew and many of the other regulars there after almost two months of being away. DP and his wife came down to share in the good vibes.

Beautiful day. Good company. Many hours in the soup. Life is good.

Beautiful picture as usual Mitchell. Can't help noticing the foamie board. Goes to show it's the Indian not the arrow.

work hasn't given me any free time and what little I have goes to my little girl, haven't surfed since election day and am feeling the jones, especially with flatness in the forecast. glad to see people scoring.

Nothing good here. Just some small short period local wind choppe. Still gonna try to paddle out tomorrow am with my buddy just cuz we always do on T-day. Might get some bigger blown out power choppe Sunday into next week. That's surfing life in the Bahamian shadow. Water is still toasty though

Maybe a Nor'Eastern will pop up soon, that would light it up for everybody!

Winter has been okay here, but slow for me. My lunch spot is hibernating, or has a running-speed current slicing through it, so it's dawnies only in town or at **r**d. I haven't legit surfed in a week or so. Might break the streak next Monday, by the look of things, but maybe not since it might rain and make poop soup.

The sessions I've had were good. Surfed town one morning when it was HH to a few feet OH on the sets. A little smaller than I would've liked, but fun and super clean. Goofed around up at the point, and then caught a long one wide down to stables. Got lefts and rights until I ended up on the cobbles in the cove. Fat fun easy waves. It was great watching the swell stack up outside and roll in in neat rows. Only got burned by one shortboarder, even had a logger kick out when I made a section. Pretty good for a crowded day at town where I was getting nonstop waves.

**r**d's dawnie was equally fun. Didn't look great when I pulled up. Nobody out, even though it was plenty light to surf. One dude showed up on his bike. I decided to go for it, since I was already there. It was kinda sectiony with a weird swell angle, but there were some good shoulders to be had. Every once in a while a BIG peak would roll in and clean out the lineup. Hardly any people out, maybe 7 guys spread across 4 peaks. Saw a bodysurfer get a super sick shack. Didn't get into any, myself. Just fun slightly OH drops and workable faces. Being choosy and watching the breakwater helped me pick off some real fun long lefts.

Not as much surf, not as much fun, not as heavy, not as square, not as easy as summer, but winter has it's moments.

Amen, brother. Can't wait to get into the regular winter pattern here on the EC. Big, stormy, washing machine, VAC days... immediately followed by stiff offshores, face numbing cold, and gaping barrels!

I wasn't expecting to surf today, but I got out of work early so I grabbed the LB and checked it not expecting much. Wind was calm with a light onshore breeze. Peaky waist to chest on high outgoing tide. Some solid rides and way better than expected. Happy T Day!

Ummm....it isn't "winter" just yet; still Fall.
Still 4 weeks to go before winter arrives.
Did you get passed 2nd grade?? <grin>

o barry, obviously you didn't get PAST the 2nd grade either. Moron <grin>

Anyway, two days of 15-20 mph onshores whipped up some waist-plus short period VAS choppe. Good enough for my buddy and I to maintain a tradition of a T-day DP sesh. The waves weren't pretty and neither was may surfing. Still got some goode drops and fun rides. I don't usually surf the pier because it's often crowded and the asshole fishermen like to cast lead at the surfers if they venture too close. But it was fun to surf a different spot and there was nobody but us out until the very end of our two hour surf.

Got home and the wife wants to go back to the beach to do some beach combing. OK, twist my tired arm. Gonna be nice and hungry after this.

Life is goode. I feel sorry for people that don't surf.

Was able to find one of the crew willing to go out in windy onshore, short interval slop today....Not sure if any of the handful out there scored anything, but any day in the ocean is a great day :)

It looked like crap from the beach as I walked down the beach, but it is Thanksgiving and I figured if I get one wave it will be good. Tradition! There was only a few old guys out at the top secret jetty, and the incoming tide with the onshores gave us a chest high peak as it made its way past the shipping channel and hit the low tide bar. Pretty blue warm water, fun choppy surf. One guy took off on a deep peak and he almost hit the jetty as the water sucked up and revealed a hidden boulder. It was sick. He took the high line at the last second and missed the rock and pulled into a nice right hand gem. I actually had the right board -my fish - for the conditions and surfed like a surfer should surf when surfing. I didn't even fall. Until the last one when I pulled into a foamie shoulder high righty foam tube, stalled, and got sea foamed off my board. Life is gooode.

Good story sisurfdogg! I bet I am not the only one who truly loves reading everyone's post on this tread. It's like a tradition. Go to work, get home, log on to see who went surfing, and what happened out there in the wild kingdom
