Glad you got some. Checked it on my way to work today and the tide was kinda fat. Still there were some fun looking waves to be had... just not by me.

It's blowin' like a motha now. Hope there's something left this afternoon for us workin' stiffs.

 

got in for the first time in a month, long flat spell here in SoCarolina. It was great to be out there. of course i wa s rusty on the 6'4" Perfectionl, but the temp wasn't too bad and it was pumpin overhead sets. Made some fried chicken last night and passed out right after (we've all be been there right?), so i didn't make time to put some cool wax on - def was sliding around like a jack@ss out there but didn't knock into anybody so that's nice. Looking to take care of that tonight and perhaps check tomorrow mornign b4 work and hopefully Saturday will be chugging along too. been too long tho, glad i too some time off this morningn

monmouth county was decent today but hardly the 4-5 surfline was reporting, maybe it was down south. Waist or so with a few chest plus sets randomly showing up. west wind held the waves up nicely for some fairly long rides, couple of small cover ups, air warm so it the water so a pretty good day overall

_antasket was pretty fun this morning and bigger than forecast. Surfed terribly for a few hours, then got a bad leg cramp and washed to shore.

Beautiful day out there for 12/1.

 

Hit The Wall at noon; high tide. Waves were 6-8 ft faces a few larger. Took out me baby gun and had a ball. Nice drops. Nobody out but 2 other morons 1/4 mile down the beach.
Had a lot a great steep drops, and long rides; paddling back out wasn't easy, but I did it anyways.
Made my day.

 

There was a older guy out and when I yelled 'hey moron' and he didn't respond, I knew you must have stayed in NH.

 

My thoughts exactly. Much smaller and a little too fast with the low, blowout tide this afternoon. Long lines if you could make 'em, though. But mostly not...

 

Today was ehhh. Yesterday was way mo betta! All da boyz wanted to wait and surf today to get the west wind. Bunch a west wind whores! I'll take light variable over 15-20 west any day. The power was sapped out of the wave entirely. So glad I got a 5 hour sesh yesterday when it was juicy and bigger. To all the westy whores "listen to Rad, on shore bowls are worth it".

 

yes super disappointed in todays forecast.i was there early,waves were like 3ft and super lully.i saw pics of lbi,looked pretty good there,but no moco was no Bueno this morning

 

Did a dawn patrol yesterday at a reef nearby. Got there at 0540 and started to wonder if the sun was actually going to come up. I stood on the beach until I could see enough to surf at about 0620. The spot has some shallow and dry areas, so I was pretty conservative until the sun came up enough to see the rocks.

Only one out. Surfed like ass, and really should have taken out a bigger board. A few legit sets came through pushing head+ and absolutely throwing. I only caught a handful in the hour I had, but the sunrise was beautiful. Too tired to hit it this morning which is too bad because I'll bet it was going off.

 

Agree with you guys... disdapointed as hell in the forecast,waves,everything today in Monmouth. It was a waste of an afternoon off. Waist high at best with stiff off shores. Should've taken my time in the AM but figured the high tide would kill it. Also reaffirmed that my backside surfing straight up sucks. I hate being a goofy foot sometimes. Need to put that extra effort in to go right more often I guess. I did it to myself

 

Took the day off and surfed from sunrise to sunset with one short break to get a drink and a snack and I also met my wife for lunch and went back out for a 3rd time. Like a lot of people, it was a little bit of a let down, not as much juice as expected but it was still fun and I rode two different SB's and got my share of the available waves.

I actually love going backside as a goofyfoot, it allows me to really wind up and snap roundhouses off the lip, which is like my favorite thing to do right now. So it worked out for the most part today but never felt like it climaxed, kinda like banging for hours but can't get a nut...

 

holy fock what a great day of surf bourding. 2 sessions, both perfect conditions. Hit The Wall around 2pm, and it was pumping, some big mofo sets would come pouring through every so often. So many good rides it's all a blur. Barely anyone out. I was expecting some weak wind swell at best today, but this was some juicy swell. Haven't looked at the hindcast, so don't know what actually happened, but that low must have wound up tight as a twat to send us the goods. I would like to dedicate this swell to the Lord Jesus Christ our lord and savior, and baby Jesus as well.

 

More double overhead clean barrels.

 

I surfed CNJ and although I wouldn't call it 4-5 foot, I thought it was pretty damn fun. Mid morning where I was had some shoulder high sets that were lining up really nicely. It dropped in size rather quickly though to about waist to chest by the time I got out, but still fun.

Not sure if I was lucky in the spot I picked, or if you guys are more jaded than I am because I don't get out surfing that frequently these days.
