This morning was kinda meh. NNE / ESE Swell mix was making things funky and they were coming in at a funny angle. The wind was nearly calm with a NW breeze so at least the wind wasn't all over it, but it didn't really help much. I caught a few in the chest+ range but the form wasn't really there. Overall I got some exercise but didn't really scratch the itch. Hoping for better conditions over the weekend / Christmas holiday.

Looks like you found the goods, Kanman... tide kinda killed it up here for the late afternoon session. Still some small ones pushing through, though. Glad you got some...

These are wonderful photos Kandude! Thanks for sharing them.

A few of my buddies and I went out this morning. It's Christmas eve and it's 80° in Florida. Luckily the ocean was more refreshing at about 73. It was one of those bright blue Florida sunshine days. They were very few people in the water. The waves were chunky with SE light winds. They were about waist to shoulder high waves medium interval. It sure was fun out there, and it was more fun than I had anticipated based on the forecast. Merry Christmas dudeS!

Really fun waves today, chest - head on sets and got better as the morning went on. Wind was calm - light offshore and then light onshore but it stayed pretty clean overall. Some long rides, one went for about 75-100 yards, I lost count of how many turns I did, several off the lips, I was in rhythm more on this wave than any other, just a great wave. Hope to remember it for a while.

Was out from 10:30 till 4:00 this afternoon, my god it was fun, 4th boardwalk, nobody out, any wave and as much as I could handle. It was as fun as it can get, wind stayed very light throughout the afternoon, it was one of the most fun days in a while, hopefully we will see more of that. Merry Christmas

Very nice afternoon session in Monmouth today! Will be up for a late morning Christmas surf for the first time in I can't remember how many years. Jealous of you bastards in Florida and your 80 degree air temps! (and still warm water!) That sounds pretty amazing right now.

Hope Santa brings waves for all!:D

    Merry Christmas back atcha!

Went out just before sunrise today, Christmas Day, with a small crew, very few guys out, and all mellow happy guys. The waves were fun againe with good push, medium interval, light on shores, some choppy stuff but not insurmountable, waist to shoulder high. They got a little cleaner and a tad less size by mid morning, and it sure was s fun morning.

We shared stories, gifts and surf snacks, with enough to hand out to a few of the guys on the beach who were surveying the waves.

This morning was better than yesterday! I took out my shortest / newest board that I haven't been able to ride much lately. I had one of my best sessions to date as far as skill goes. I have had good sessions on this board but not like today. It was best early on as Betty stated. Mostly chest high with some sets up to head high. Like yesterday but cleaner, more consistent, and more power. Makes DP a very happy boy on Christmas!

Got out yesterday the 24th which was also my 46th birthday. Not expecting much so I hauled out the 12.5' Lopez racing sup. well it picked up to probably solid waist to chest+ and was actually pretty good. Only one out for at least an hour but the crowd filed in towards the end. Got a solid 3.5 hours and by the end I was absolutely exhausted from wrestling that huge board around. Got some really good long rides, but it was hella hard making that board work. Fun but really made the wrong board call.

    Gonna hit cape cod tomorrow.
