Had a couple of fun days last week... Didn't get out yesterday afternoon when it was still big and cleaned up in NJ and it was much smaller this morning.
Talked to my friends in NY. Should have went there yesterday. It was firing all day.
    Bassmon you get out?

I had a Matuse for many years, and one thing I loved about that suit was it absorbed hardly any water at all. You could put it on dry, surf for two hours, take it off after, and notice almost no increase in weight, and no water dripping out of it when hung up. They mention something about less absorption in their marketing and IMO its valid.

Worked yesterday and missed out on the big mess. Surprised at how small it was this morning but got some decent ones in the holy land (belmar). Always better than not surfing and always the best way to start the day

Was about stomach - shoulder high and deep. Looks like after school sesh would require the log

    S. Jerz saw some solid shoulder to head yesterday evening. Ton of cats out. Got some really sick long rides in though. Off shores were pretty stiff. Killed the last half hour. Fun no doubt.

Went to Belmar early this AM. The two spots I normally go to werea complete dump. Didn't have enough time to reconne so I went with them both and I surfed like five 1 foot waves on my new pier pony. Disappointed I had to settle for such sub par conditions on her maiden voyage. Tmrw evening looks fun but stiff off shores yet againe...

Btw this pony I got was brand spanking new, with 5 fins new, leash new and board bag new - $200. I love making gnarly deals. Early bday gift to myself.

Nice 757...I had to work allllllll day. The high tide this morning called me off the DP. Looked fun though...

Spent my lunch hour off Dam Neck today catching thigh high stuff on the longboard. Water was fairly clear. Nice to get out again. A beautiful sunny day. Air temps in the mid 60s, water in the high 40s.

Glad you scored bruddah, next time you come up I will do the driving lol.

Scored classic head high Harbor this evening, 3 guys out in oily slick glass conditions.

You were right again, it's been pretty much breaking every day since you went back south. Not a bad winter so far.

for the record thats not me in the shot, this is a shot my friend found of a spot near some spots i surfed this weekend. Still, it highlights the quality of the conditions in the zone.

Skipped it this morning. Swell came down and it was dead high tide = barely rideable. Probably will be better at low tide but not much.

Sweet baby peas but RI was going off on Tuesday. I had what was probably my best session yet at Second Beach. Yeah, it was raining the whole time and the wind was a bit nuts, but it was straight offshore and the waves actually got better while I was out, which never happens. Very light crowd and plenty of waves. I surfed pretty kooky on some, but still, despite my ineptness, I was able to nail some really fun, long rides. The Byrne worked like a champ.

Weds looked great on cams, but there was just no way to get out there unfortunately. Here's hoping the next few days are more like the Swellinfo forecast rather than Surfline.

New south swell filled in this afternoon. Got good as the tide filled in right before sunset:
