who here has been surfing this week?

Saturday am hobie sess with my girl. It was tiny, but I was practicing my patience and waiting for the sets. We collectively got 30 or so fun ones in three hours. Had fun sarfin and spent the rest of the day kicking it on the beach. I did a few reps bodyboarding. Thinking about getting a pair of fins to mess around with when the it’ small.

Looks like a little wave or two on the horizon.

 

After a really fun July it's been pretty horrific for about a month now. The tropics aren't looking too promising either and with no surf trip lined up in the near future I could easily see myself falling for the ol' okey doke.

 

They look awesome right? After almost two months of flat that looks like super model ass right? It was almost impossible to catch a decent ride... and it figured - the best sets were after I got out lol but I caught a few deep drop rights with some fun runs on the big DelRay and even caught a crazy little drop and quick ride on the new Rawson. Tomorrow is shaping up to be a great day so maybe the Rawson gets some more work.

 

We had waves yesterday, chest high and clean. Lifeguards are only saving lives on weekends now, so no 'surf' zones, dogs on beach, it was mayhem.

 

Finally got some waves...granted it was only thigh high slop, but I caught two that held open for a second and had enough juice behind them that I was able to feel the push from the wave. I don't know if it made things worse or not as far as being wave starved, but it was great to be back on the water and see some friends

Fun session for a 1-2’ forecast! Surfed sunset cliffs with one other guy out.

 

Heading out tomorrow with my youngest son for one more go at it before he goes back to school. 1-2 wit offshores. It's all we got all we need right now. Where the fuck are all the canes???

 

Today was the tits in the mid atlantic region. Not big but super fun especially considering its August

 

Looks like a minor tropical wave trying to come off of Africa. Now we wait.

 

From noontime on it was glassy perfection with waist high chest high regs and super sets every 10 minutes of 2-3 crazy overhead walls that got steep way outside. You had your pick from inside quick drops and quick lefts and rights, middle break for waist high/chest high longer rails and then outside to wait for those gorgeous green walls that broke and stayed A frame all the way to the shallows and then ramped up again for a second wave on the inside. I wish I didnt waste all my energy the last two days paddling through that crap and today I would t have spaghetti arms lol. But my daughter rode the hell out of her bort and had a blast in the warm water and great inside waves just right for her to up her game to be consistent green water rides. Super stoked and super proud of her.

magic session this afternoon....chest high peaks, mid-week crowd starting to thin, sky and stiff offshore wind looking a bit more fall-like.

Took a day trip north from sebastian to new smyrna and scored 2 to 3 foot waves for 4 hours with a mini break around the 2 hour mark.
Clean and semi organized sets .
Theres always a wave in new smyrna... or so I've heard.

 

Couple of fun sessions this week. At the top of the tide one of the spots I surf was breaking like a mini point break with waist to stomach high waves peeling for 50 yards.

 

Caught fun waist high waves on wed. With 6 people out. Gotta love school being back in session. Starting to get my groove back after a few rough sessions. More waves please!

 

Same here... Wednesday was a freak'n blast. A little inconsistent when the tide got too high, but set waves were still coming in. Got one full on barrel... tight squeeze, but that's how I like it.

 

I spent most of the weekend in Orlando but got home earlier today, mowed the lawn, then headed to the beach to rinse off. I caught about a dozen knee - thigh waves on the LB. Onshore wind and semi choppy conditions. Water felt the warmest it has all year.

 

scored in Jax on Saturday. clean n waist hi. had only the LB with me which wasn't the best board to have considering how dumpy it was. was really hangover so could've been user error. rode some friday n sunday, but saturday was where it was at, several sessions that day

 

low tide yesterday on Delmarva was small, but rideable. Got a few fun rights and the afternoon was absolutely gorgeous. give me a TS!!

 

Of course Mitchell found some surf! lol
