Some fun ones to be had on Delmarva from this morning's south windswell. Fun session early, took a few pics:
trust me bradda,I normally always have some rubber on.but when its 95 degrees out,idc if the water is in the 60s,im trunkin it.but yea 72 aint bad at all, feels like a bath tub,its refreshing.floridians don't know what cold water is.its like 70 degrees and they got hoods and gloves on lol
Hey Valhalla! We had a ton of fun too and it was a trip seeing you and your best surfing buddy. I really liked watching you two whooping it up on one of the few rideable peaks We all got some fun rides regardless of the size of the wave. All those bait fish and birds made it feel a little sharky but not bad enough to worry. One of the gals got a bad foot bite by the jetty there about 6 years ago so she didn't want to get closer to the jetty, understandably. You might've missed that dad with four kids. He was pushing them into waves and we were all so stoked about it, woohooing the kids especially the little 5 or 6 year old girl. It was yet another great day in paradise. See you next time you're up this way!
I did see two guys wearing full suits the other morning here in NE FL. I mean, the water has been colder than normal, but it recently got back into the 80's. Ridiculous. Saw a guy wearing a spring suit this morning. I never once saw any of them catch a single wave so...
always strange to see on the east coast cams guys wearing what look like full and spring suits in the middle of summer. Guess it's great sun protection, but seems a bit excessive. There's guys out here on the west coast in 60 deg water trunking it (not me)
I mean, water below 70 and I'm wearing something, probably a short sleeve full. I get cold easy, but I can't imagine wearing a full suit in 80 degree water., or any rubber really except maybe a top if the air is really cold. Sounds downright gross actually to wear a full suit in 80 degree water.
Some decent waves yesterday here in MoCo. Chest to maybe shoulder high 2-wave sets and offshore winds all day. Actually got a couple little barrels, too. This morning is smaller, but there's still a bump.
This threade is for people that have been surfing not for those thinking of surfing. Go start your own threade which you will certainly promptly procede to abandonne
