Surfed bumpy leftovers for an hour or so last night after hearing how good it was all day. Leash broke on waist high chop. Go figure. Tourons feaked out over dolphins thinking they were sharks. My kids show me the paper this morning with a photo of a 13' 800lb tiger shark caught a mile from FB. Last week a guy caught a 1100 lb shark in a tournament.

 

yesterday early morning sucked with the current. had to run across the beach and paddle out again after each wave, but i got some loong rights. the wind switched more offshore by late morning and it became really fun with some barrels too. the water was actually pretty cold. i was chilly in my 3/2

 

the offshores blew all the warm water out to sea.should warm up by the weekend

but theres only 1 slater.i like to always wear a suit,but its just been too damn hot in nj.by the time u get ur suit on and walk down the beach to the water u will be sweating bullets.i like a little chill in this heat.i don't think I ever been in water over 80degrees.would be nice lol.I see groms in January out in a 3/2 with no boots or gloves.that's commitment

Nice DP session today before work. Sunrise around 5:30ish met in the water and till about 8.. Fun 2-3's coming through hitting the beach in favour of lefts, right up my alley. Got pretty loose after the first hour and scored a few quick ones, even a little dk head dip (lazy on the pop... But "yeah dude, totally meant to do that" attitude)
Ear is still at about 85-90% but looks like this towelie is getting his mojo back.
Now - a day of work, hopefully a short one.

Just got back from VB 80th st. unless I'm 8' tall, it wasn't 3-4'. Had a weird stank to the water I don't remember smelling before. but it's been a while. got wet. stood up. had a long walk back. Cried all the way home.

 

onshore slop for an hour . 3 fun waves . i'll take it

 

Today and yesterday was fun as hell at my beach. Nice sized bombs , late drops into the pit, and deathdropfloaters. So fun and punishing at the same time, Im sore as phark!!!! Anyone else????

 

A few good ones this morning... Didn't stay out too long tho- about chest hi, surprisingly the only one out! Wind was light offshore... Bath water warm

 

Got a bunch of fun ones today... chest to shoulder high ripping rights. Chunky funky fun. Warm water, hot sun, summer fun.

Went out yesterday morning with both craft. First few hours surfing then when the sets became sparse and few - fins on, some wicked take offs and face on the face flying action...

Quick question. Anybody has tips for improving my bottom turn? Front side for now...most of the time it works out, but sometimes I feel like I'm trying to take off at too much of an angle, thusly not getting enough speed to make a section.. Aka sends my flying over the board and brace for impact. Aside from more time in water (obv.) maybe any pointers?
