Some fun ones this afternoon didn’t get on it early but there was still some juice left

 

Today in Jersey was pure awesomeness. It wasn’t the well OH they had forecasted, but I saw 6-7’ sets come through in the am. Surfed with close friends and got a ton of gnarly ones. Don’t get much better than that...

When I got out to beach in the morning it was corduroy lines, barreling fast and hard. I pulled into so many gat damn shacks. Took one of the biggest backside drops of my life, pig dogged, deep arm stall and pulled right into a big, meaty pit!!! Rode her for a while in front of the foam ball before getting absolutely annihilated on the inside, full suck up and send over the falls. The vis upside down in the barrel was extra perty.

Pulled into many barrels and got a good little head dip. Conditions deteriorated quickly by the low tide. Offshore winds pushed it down real quick. All in all a great day. Hope everyone else is scoring and happy holidays. Stay safe.

 

It is a weekend with my kiddo so no surfing but snapped a couple pics before lunch. Firing today.

Dude I was working and watching the cams and hoping it would stay clean. That wind made a mess huh? And what’s up with the cold being that biting nasty miserable cold already? Or was it just me. Anyways I had to work and as I did I watched it get worse instead of better. I was maybe gonna hit A street for some shelter from that wind but I didn’t finish work until dark.

Don't be insulted. I never make meetings for surfing. Never. Ever. With no one. Ever.
Surfers are morons. Morons are late, always. I am always on time. Always. That means I wait. I hate waiting. Especially hate waiting for morons. So then I hate surfers. Therefore, I wait no more.
Should you happen to be somewhere when I am surfing there, I can be very charismatic. It's my charisma....can you feeeeeeel it??

 

I did not surf yesterday. Spent the day shooting these two goofballs along with a few other guys at a lonely, undisclosed, firing location while freezing my arse off.

 

Above referenced surfer dropping into a potential Oniell NorthEast Wave Of The Winter entry? Somehow he made it out the doggie door after I thought he was finished so I missed his exit but I got a very long sequence right up until the end section exploded on the sandbar. One or two of the other guys that were shooting got the whole wave on video.

 

Nice shots, but that spot is easily recognized. Not that I care though.

JOB’s wave was dope, but there’s been plenty better this seezan. Couldn’t believe he made the exit on the doggy door.

I pulled into a few cold barrels the other day. If you made the drop you were getting barreled. Clean exits were tough to come by as the waves were breaking fast and the winds held you up on the takeoff.

Wait... Barry... I’m confused (partially cause I’m a surfer... and apparently a moron) BUT arnt you a self proclaimed surfer??? Seems a little contradictory

Anyways, I’m never on here that much lately- so I wanted to say Merry Christmas Barry! And to everyone else, merry Christmas! From your old pal Mr Belmar

Some fun smaller waves today. Most spots were closing out... BUT I know of a secret little sand bar (Belmar). Really fun rides- peeling just the right speed. Fun LB rides and good nose riding waves on a pig.

 

It was very interesting watching Jamie O'Brien's tube riding techniques. I captured most of his best rides in sequences with my camera. Most of my pictures came out like crap though. His foot positioning and speed control tactics are very cool to watch.

 

A couple of hours of knee to waist high stuff. Maybe just thigh high. On the longbort.

It was cold ASF and all, but a Christmas/Christmas Eve surf is always fun. And it’s a plus I always have off for a few days around Christmas. Especially since I got skunked on Thanksgiving. I got beat up pretty good out there! Gonna sleep good tonight!
