Nursing some cracked ribs so it will be a couple of weeks before I can even think about laying on a board. Went up and took some pics this morning. Lighting was terrible and the waves were nothing special. This was my best shot of the morning.

The colorful board really made the shot here. I've got some shots of some good surfing from this morning but between the bad light, wetsuits and plain white boards the pictures just have nothing to catch the eye. The camera also locks onto a surfer better when they are wearing some color or riding a board with colors when the lighting isn't good. More contrast gives better autofocus performance and tracking.

So I wonder how officer azzhole and his nutsack rest of a moostache is going to defend those warnings when there is a 150 car parking lot for access to the dam beach ACROSS from that highway? That charges for parking no less.
I swear, sometimes my brothers and sisters wearing badges make me cringe... instead of helping their herding. Course there’s probably some reason for it that makes me sound like a turdmissile for yapping lol.
But I saw pics of the new beach and PeaJay, it’s beautiful! I can’t wait to bring my daughter back down and share waves again.

Sesh number two was a success. Having to 5/4s is awesome. Until you remember why you bought a new one.... that thing was leaky and cold. That mid 30s water stung in that thing.

I rode the new handshaped single fin. I'l do a ride report in the shaping thread. Waves were basically the same. Earlier you had sets in the shoulder high range, none of those four the second sesh. But still chest. Paddled out to the same peak. Not alot of guys out, but alot of people on the beach. Seemed like everyone had at least 2 or 3 dogs with them. Initial paddle out was mistimed. Took a few on the head. The board paddles great and duck dives just fine. But after this morning.... after a few duck dives i was feeling the soreness. Got out. Very first wave on the very first board i ever shaped.....

Chest high left. As i popped up i could feel myself sort of get hung up for just a second in the lip. Got going down the face but thought for sure i was pearling. Grabbed the outside rail, dragged my whole body in the face and pulled up hard. Now all i was doing was trying not to eat it, but i ended up getting perfectly slotted in this little barrel. So sick. Board was sooooo locked in. Felt like i had side fins. 100% tail was on the foam ball but that thing was SOLID. Came out of it and let out a hoot. Caught a handful of others but was definitely taking it slow. Trying not to kill my shoulders. After each wave id give myself a little rest. If i tried to get wave after wave i could feel my arms about to fall off.

I saw a seal, dogs like i said, each wave had a rainbow of spray and a legit rainbow trailing it. Wind began getting stronger, i was shot, and cold. Got out and headed home. Wifey was juicing limes and now im sipping on a jalapeno margarita. Good day.

got down to RI to enjoy the sun and (relatively) warm day. Been weeks since I last got out and I felt it. Surfed like a woodchuck hit with a tranq dart.

Saw a guy riding one of those foil boards, looks fun. Once the seaweed sets in for the summer, that will be useless at that break though.

I haven't had time to surf alot due to limited day light, snowboarding plans etc. Finally got out today and scored some small, fun peeling waves.

I've been biking and snowboarding alot. Life is good.

Fun session on the LB yesterday late morning and into the afternoon. I caught the last hour of outgoing tide and 1st two hours of incoming tide.

Wind was light offshore most of the session, glassy to slightly textured when a breeze would come through.

Waves were waist high and soft but occasionally a chest high set with some thump would come through, and you had to be patient for those, willing to let a couple smaller ones go through, sitting a little deeper then everybody else.

After one of those sets came through it was a while for another one and you could then cheat inside and catch some of the smaller ones till you see that set stacking up way outside and you could sprint further out to get it, spin and go once it’s right on you. Those had the best drop on them, the others were easy gliders. Weather was perfect with air in the 70’s and water in the 60’s.

Afterwards my wife and I went to lunch / dinner and had seafood at a riverside restaurant. I had the Grouper Bruscetta and my wife had the Chilean Seabass. We also had some coconut shrimp with a side salad or lobster bisque soup.

My wife sipped on some white zin, while I drank a few SweetWater G13 IPA 420 Strand, which is highly recommended btw. It’s right up there with the SweetWater 420 with Hemp, and I had a few of those on Friday. So good.

Long as I'm still wearing boardshorts whilst surfing in February, I don't care about paint color! :D

Yeah, who knew, heh, so it's "yankme" ok, hear ya real core duuuuude  Better than that, who really gives a shiiite about what my hack surfing pics look like, except a jealous twit (and I'm not referring to B).

I have a great sense of humor, btw, why don't you try some more of your passive-aggressive shtick name-calling the next time we see one another at AI, 'bruddah.'

I didn't realize that you're the only one who is allowed to post surfing pics in this treade. Self-designation is a helluva thang; learn something new every day from a CORE duuuuuuude like you o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

Anyways not trying to sidetrack this great treade just because one of the more pompous posters decides to go into miss snarky mode.

CR was fun. Well OH the initial 3 daze. Lending to more closeouts than enjoyabail, but it is what tis. Cleaned up the last 3 daze, got a bit smaller chest to HH, lotta fun. As always crowded at certain points in the day, particularly DP, but if you didn't mind the strong sun mid-to-late morn & into the 1pm range, then there was only 4-6 people spread out over couple miles of consistent beachbreak.

Huge rips. Looked like boat wakes even several hundred yards from shore.

I have a short fuse w the passive aggressive haters who get off on attempting to make people feel inadequate o_O in any endeavor, not merely surfing.

Gracias, Biggsy :D And where can one obtain an update (which other treade) on your hopefully-improving life & times?

Fun session this morning. Rode the new handshaped single. Waves were small. Thigh high, almost pushing waist but not quite on a few rare sets. Found this nice little pack offering long cruisey lefts to the sand. Really just a cruiser with a lazy cutback here or there. Didn't last long. But it was fun.

    Sorry.

I joke with people in the lineup all the time...AI or elsewhere...its just banter. But short fuse noted.
