Tuesday I went up to the south jetty in Jupiter, it offers protection on a Noreaster. If you get it at highish tide, the swell has more energy on the inside. It was very crowded, every where else was blown out. Overhead peaks. Random lefts and rights. Some closed out, some didn't. I had my swallow tail Orion 6'6" which works good in steep fast waves. Caught a good left right off the get go, and some kid I didn't recognize asked me if I checked pumphouse. He just wanted everyone in the water to know he surfs pumphouse. The place is a giant ball of bait right now. You couldn't pay me to paddle out there.

I caught one left - I am a regular foot - that was a late drop, and my back (right) arm got caught up it the
lip on the way down, so it held me up and I got drilled. I caught a few more quick punchy rides, on one right I was at the bottom of a overhead wave and a big beefy guy is going left right at me. He took the high line, we both made it unscathed. Smiles and nods on the paddle out.

Paddling out after one wave, some guy took a late drop and fell, his board almost hit me. Leashes got tangled up. I said "sorry". He said, "my bad". We both scrambled out of the impact zone. One another nice right I took off too late, fell on top of the board as the wave landed on me. It got me under my left lat, kinda hit a rib.

I took off on another left, got pitted but drilled. A guy saw it while he was paddling out me and smiled and shook his head. I caught a few more random peaks and bowls. Then a real nice right came, I got down it, then up to the top, got held up for a second or so, then a reentry, then a couple more turns, to the beach. Done.

On the way out I saw a couple guys surfing inside the inlet, off the north jetty, as the tide went out and stood the incoming surge up. I'll have to study up on that one. Tuesday was a Happy 56th Bday to me! I'm a tad sore, but headed out for more.

Happy birthday dogg! Always good to get a birthday session in! My 52nd birthday was 10/2, and I had a great birthday session in South Jer-z thanks to Joaquin on 10/6.

Thanks CaptJAQ. It's awesome when it is firing on your birthday. The first wave was such a hoot. I had a big smile plastered on my face the whole session.

Cool! 11 of us made the ferry ride over from MD/DE that day. So fun.... Ended up sharing a jetty left with some fellow Delmarvans (just a couple of us - we didn't paddle out 11 strong at one jetty) that day with some friendly locals.

Ha Ha, sounds like at least half of the sessions I've had there. Seems like you got some fun rides though.

They do that at our inlet here but usually on cleaner days. Needs the right swell angle. I haven't been yet. Hardest part is parking and access cuz it's all condo towers.

And Happy Birthday to ya, Dogg from Singer Island! A b-day sesh is always good. I spent mine this past June at the very same spot. It was good until it got crowded. And there was bait.

I've been surfing this week. The entire week. Starting last Friday and up till this morning's sesh I've been out eight days straight. Never done that before and I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to do so here in the Bahamas shadow. With hard on/side shore winds, the waves haven't been pretty but neither have I. Sheltered spot minimizes the slop and drift.

Jellies were around last few days. Big as hubcaps. Got real bad on Wednesday when they chased everybody out of the water. One guy took one to the face getting his nose and eyes.

Nice to see some fellers that I haven't seen since the last regular surf months ago. Surfed with a fellow Sweller too. Most of the swell is gone now but there's some choppe left. Might be able to add a few more days to my streak this weekende.

Leaving the beach this morning I observed a photo shoot. Aboot a half dozen bikini clad lasses. Not being The Shred I didn't get to bang any of the super-models. Was a nice visual treat though.

Performing thorough sand reconnes and using propre leg rope string tying tekneek has served me well during this run. My sh!t stayed dry.

That and using the closest foot. Always use the closest foot.

I attempted to surf today. But the closeouts were too much for me. I caught maybe one decent ride early on, then it was just all closeouts. I just couldn't surf fast enough for those things. Got pounded in the impact zone, now my back's hurting. I'm too old for this ****.

Were you @ WB? Watching CB cam all freakin; day looks really fun. I'll get there after dark tonight. Hopefully swell info is wrong and it will be cleaner tomorrow than they call for...

No. I'm thinking that maybe Joaquin's sand rearrangement at my break isn't such a good thing. There seems to be a new sandbar, but they were really slamming on that thing at the lower tide. Time will tell, I suppose.

Caught some fun chest high waves for a couple hrs at FB. Was actually better than I expected. Not mant people out. We got a few funky sandbars here too that work well at different tides for short periods. It can just turn off at times. Waves were super makeable and fun. I gotta do some serious work today but it was worth it! Surf on!

NNE wind & NNE swell in OCMD yest morning made it kinda choppy but totally surfable w waves holding up.

This morning: SSE swell & SSW wind so it was a bit smoother if one found the right chunke of 'progress' to hide behind = fun waves, late, steep & deep.

4/3 kept me toasty for 3 hrs, but do-able in 3/2.

Small and fun this afternoon in LBI...caught plenty of fun waist+ waves. Water was colder than I thought...could've used a 3mil boot with my 3/2...but just can't do it yet.

Kind of crap on Cape Ann but better than not surfing. First time wearing boots this fall. Gloves would have been ok, but not required.
