That place has been on my mind for a test run relay some info this way looks like they got some sick beachies
Well, it's largely flat here around Ventura, so I drove 3 hours north to Morro Bay today to get some 7 foot, 5-star conditions today! Crap. The surf forecast and current conditions on the MSW app and pacificwaverider.com blew it. It was more like 3 feet and mushy. Sherm
Got waist high rides and even got bumped by sea life. It hurt on impact, but didn't bite. I'll call that a win
Just gotta outta da wata. 3-4 ft, waist chest, occasional shoulder high. Glassy, and all by myself at my favorite spot. 2 hr session. Where is everybody??? Awww, don't tell me they was working?? Tsk, tsk....such a shame. All them nice glassy waves, just for me!!
Quite a few guys playing hooky from work/school today in OCNJ. Including me. It was fun. Even with the replenishment.
nice set waves chest/chest plus or so this am in monmouth county nice and peaky with an occasional wall. water still nice and warm for dec 18.
NJ Cams looked fun. San Diego was calling for 3-4+ on surfline. It was maybe knee high on set every 5 minutes.
gonna give it a check on the outgoing later this afternoon. hopefully something will be left. i think i'm actually glad it got colder(?). i was actually sweating inside my wetsuit the last time i surfed. it was just grossest sticky session ever.
Got SO good late this afternoon. Checked it around 2...windy and ok but obviously some swell...did some shopping. Checked it around 4 wind had dropped off and gone straight offshore and turn the swell to gold.
Four times last week but managed only once this week. Lots of dolphins very close by jumping, swatting their tails and chasing fish.
Right on Mitch! Nice pics! That sh1t felt so good. I got in the water at 3:45 and didnt leave til it was pitch black. Winds picked up as the sun set. Waves werent able to break until they hit super shallow and then just heaved in one long explosion. Still had to stay out and get clobbered. Got some real good waves before the switch. Mid island only 4 guys out. Thanks to all the dudes who went down the road. That spot was packed!
Put in 4 hours yesterday. Chest - head, and smooth as a virgins belly. Forecast largely missed this swell up here, so just a handful of the wise and lucky out.
I caught the incoming tide around 9 am today, looked flat everywhere but found this gem of a sandbar with about waist to chest high.was surprised it said 2ft but looked 2ft bigger lol.idk if it was the swell direction, straight gusting westerly winds on the incoming tide but it was spectacular, best small waves iv ever surfed lol. this was in nomoco, normally its all rights, but today the lefts were much better.crazy too nobody in sight, its a hard to get to spot, not really hard but u have to walk a good 10minutes through the parking lot and down the beach where it drops off and u can finally see the waves.i got Christmas week off, hopefully we get some swells so I can actually surf for a good amount of time.in nomoco its very very rare to be able to drive up to a spot and see the waves from where u park.u have to do a good amount of walking.those offshore gusts were wicked today, felt so much better/warmer in the water.when I got out I took my mitts off and by the time I got to the car my hands were beat red and could barely start the car lol.it was a good day tho
Hit up P*c*f**a and Li**a M** on Wednesday when I was up north. Chose those spots since OB*F was straight rocking and I'm not there yet. Was still 20s down in the South Bay. What's up with 20+s swells that get doubled up with a secondary swell? Happened to me at Lo**rs two years ago come March on 23s that time. Anywayz, couple fun rides and good cats in the lineup. First time I paddled out in way too long. I'll be hitting something deece bout chest to shoulder and clean somewhere between the Bu and SB. Hope you buoys get yours.
Very true--forecasts were way off once again. Had a nice late morning session with glassy waves as well.
What's blowing my mind is the water temp. Still in the 4/3... boots/gloves. But there were a few guys out without gloves!
yea man water aint cold at all yet, pretty cool.plus this week the air is going to be a lot warmer so water temps should stay at 50.swell looking great for the end of the week, probably the best Christmas present I can ask for
