Correct! Barry Cuda is my MUCH OLDER brother from another mother. We are not one in the same. Cuda is Cuda. I was just attempting to have a laugh and and got an infraction for believe it or not hi jacking a tread. Meanwhile cuda has done just that on nearly every tread. Simod said 3 infractions and id get blocked. Double standard? BarrySimod? Barry and simod in bed ?

Mid 40's, about 5 degrees warmer than usual for this time of year. Surfed for 5 hours, and not cold in the slightest in full winter gear. 5 hour session at 50, still got it in me *****es.

Later yesterday...small waves, SW winds, low tide incoming. Couldn't get to the beach until after 4, last two people getting out of the water saying "there's not much left"...

Stared at the ocean and kept seeing what looked like some energy in the water...and the low tide was starting to come in, and the wind was perfect.

Suited up and surfed 1-2 foot peelers on the mini simmons, solo sesh, NOBODY on the beach - until it was too dark to see much of anything. Beautiful sunset was turning the ocean into that orange/purple oily color.

For a laugh?? That is exactly why I do it as well. Are you me?? Mini-me??
As for the infraction, don't worry, I have been given a couple as well over the last year.
But, are you sure I am not simod using Barry Cuda as a spy, trying to hook all you guys?? Who knows?? Only "The Shadow" knows.......

Waves were pretty solid this AM, around 4-6'. Surfed La Jolla with about 15 other guys...
I sat a little inside of everyone and picked off all the waves that feathered through the pack. Sick mornin!

This has been one of the better weeks I can remember in a while. Everything from gnarly DOH to perfect chest high glass. This morning was probably the last of it but still really fun with offshore winds. The water is still feeling nice for this time of year too. Hope Saturday comes together like the forecast says!!

Lunchtime yesterday off Dam Neck. Air 49, water about 50, waist high, windy, and strong northerly drift. Lots of paddling to stay in the right spot, but got a good workout and some fun longboard rides. Sore last night.

'The cosmos and I were born together, the ten-thousand things and I are one.'

Sometimes I look at my post count, and think, 'what the fock am I doing? Give these guys a chance to speak'...other times I look at it and think, 'well, 99% of this was done at work, these guys aren't telling me to shut up, so keep at it', then I laugh. Either way, clearly, I love this place. My favourite stop on the internet, by far. When I signed on here I used the same handle from the only other forum I participated in, where I actually lived up to that name, here, not so much, as o bagus sometimes says, seldom seen often heard.

Well boys, and ladies, I've been thinking of the best way to do this, trying to make it count. I suppose I coulda held off on the shout out thread and used that for 10k, but I have to use patience in too many other realms of life there's no place for it here. Said it before I'll say it againe, I love you guys, and value the exchange of thoughts here. I mean, fock irl, isn't what's going on in our brains, our thoughts, isn't that our true essence, what we really are?

This here thread is getting long, Peajay started it. And this thread holds true to what we love most. And it all boils down to one thing. Water. The one thing that sustains all life, and can also end all life. We found a way to use that one thing to sustain more than just our physical existence, it feeds our soul. If you're one of those wsl/just a sport guys, this post ain't for you.

Ed Abbey said 'all gold is fools gold'. I would add to that, all water is holy water. Stay riding that holy water you ne'er do wells. Maximize your limited time on this amazing rock we call home. Godspeed Mothertruckers, and stay righteous. There is much to be thankful for.

A couple videos that should be mandatory.

Yesterday DP was still good. Almost didn't paddle as there was nobody out and size looked way down from Tuesday. Glad I went for it. Northside, again, was clean and fun. HH to 3' OH and great shape. Pretty empty before sunrise and then only a handful of guys out later. Fun easy waves to mix in some dropknee. Still no barrels, but big fun drops and nice workable shoulders. Really good stuff. I love breaking away from the lineup and catching those outsiders just right. Wonder why nobody else looks at the breakwater for timing?

Both days reveille then the strands of the Star Spangled Banner floated out on the offshores and I watched clean empty overhead waves smoking in the orange sunrise. God Bless America for sure!

Can't think of a better thread to have done it in. Thank you Peajay for starting it. Back in the times when people were complaining about the forum, you brought the change you wanted to see, and look what it evolved into.

    rcartier, no, you da man.
