Weekends, unless it's epic, then I will take a day off. With it getting dark at 4:30 now, it's not worth it to go after work for 10 minutes.
Chef Private Club. Make the schedule so I get in when it's good and have winters off so I go to PR Had a summer off a few years ago when I worked for Princeton U that was awesome! Keep surfing!
Public school teacher in Far Rockaway, NYC. Able to dawn patrol before work early may till end of school year in June. Also able to dawn patrol from start of school in sept till about mid October. Wednesday thru Friday school dismisses at 2:20. I can be in the water before 3 Did I mention my job gives me a two month paid vacation every summer? And a nice fat union pension after 25 years? Beat that you suck wads! (Being retired don’t count Barry)
I got a trophy because Bubs liked one of my posts! Thanks Bubs. I work two jobs. I am a supervisor at an underground line installation company and I work on a loading dock for a trucking company. I can take off whenever I want to surf. I make up the work when it's flat.
senior account executive at ad agency/commercial printer. I've put my time in over the last 8 years. I can almost 100% work remotely, but tend not to (pisses off the artist & programers, who can't). If the waves are good I come in late. I almost always leave early.
How about work 2 days a week and get 401k w/ match and don't work during the summers. Welcome to my world dude!
I'm a Internet celebrity, I make all my money on youtube. It leaves me all the time in the world to surf the zero waves we have gotten in the last freaking month
Worked my way up and seeing the dividends paid off. Also get paid 12 months a year only work 9 months 2 days a week. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwww!
I work from home Monday - Friday 8:30-5:30, no nights or weekends, paid holidays, full benefits. I am able to surf every day there are waves if I choose. Sometimes I miss a session during work hours but if it’s epic I alter my schedule and get out there. I hit DP and sunset sessions regularly. Extended lunch breaks when needed. I might as well live right on the water but we are 15 minutes inland to get more house for our dollar and a buffer during hurricane season.
Boston union sheet metal worker! since I put the plug in the jug its very hard to go after work, usually exhausted! Ive been able to take a sick day and get paid to surf but only a handful of times. Getting paid to surf is the balls!! hope your doing well Bubs!
Right on, Merry Christmas! looks like waves maybe Sun and Monday! kids are old enough now so dad can get his first Christmas session. Good to see your still keeping this place rolling! enjoy some smoke and get some this holiday! SALTY CHRISTMAS! Whos in???
Commercial HVAC/R. I can get dawn or dusk seshs most of the year except winter. I got plenty PTO so sick days to surf are a possibility although i save those for REALLY good days. Winter is a bit tough, dawn isn't possible. But if it looks good i can start early, leave early, and get a quick dusk sesh in. Then weekend's ofcourse. I do work on call for a week straight once a month. Those weeks ill pass on dusk seshs but on the weekend ill still go. If any calls come in they can wait. The goal is to start up my own company, making moves and creating a bit of a customer base with side work. We will see how that pans out. If i can get in with a company that offers a pension..... I'm taking that. Keeping the options open
