Today the pro surfer scene is a bunch of bores whose sponsors - those big corporations - manage their golden children's images as to create a safe homogeneous surf world paradigm, friendly and attractive to soccer moms and dorks who complain to surf predictin website message board moderators. And now the lifestyle is reduced to car commercials showing yuppie couples out searching for a bub in a $50,000 luxury vehicle, of course. And that's that.
