and slashdog and dpsup, today is waaaaay different than how our parents had it I think its the CPI (which is a focked indicator anyway) shows how middle class purchasing power is down the tubes both my parents were in public education, no big incomes here, however they could afford second homes, boats, sports cars, and vacations.....all that living in NJ where taxes are sky high. Two teachers today cant afford multiple homes, sports cars, boats, and vacations, etc even blue collar workers back in the day had it great with union wages, now things are semi focked for regular folks trying to eek out a living....even jobs are waaaaay less prevelant now, unless you like 8.50 an hour, which will be replaced by a robot in 10 years....at least the robots can afford the ipad and massages and sheet
