the problem there is that once voters realize they can vote themselves things at the expense of somebody else its all downhill from there. history has shown this over ad over again.

Appreciate the clarification. And I like your statement about the only tribe in America ready for self governance. Good discourse overall.

How would you deal with the sick, and mentally challenged. or those down on their luck, losing their jobs at no fault of their own?

Enjoy every sandwich, boys. Uncle Obama is at the helm of a ship heading for the rocks and he'd rather turn the lights off and argue then right the ship. Or perhaps he's just simply incapable of it.

the down on their luck people would get temporary help that would continue as long as they could show they are trying to improve their situation. as soon as they stop doing that, they are on their own.

chicarrone, without taxation, charity would be more common and those in need would be taken care of. those not in need and just dont want to work can suck eggs

there are tones of jobs, a lot of them suck and dont pay well but it is something

making everyone pay into a safety net (and when gvt is involved there is MASSIVE mispending) and putting them in jail if they dont pay is morally reprehensible

and manissis, he's like the captain of the boat arguing with the cadet in lighthouse about who should move first

BBG, the constitution argument is bit complex, but good on ya for introducing it

good questions... the first is a bit hard to grasp but there will still be Insurance...just not Social Insurance. There will still be Charity, just not forced charity. The jobs thing is easy...there will be MANY more things that people will be able to do for a living once you get Big Broseph out of the way... Anarchy is not the Silver Bullet cure-all that Socialism claims to be... and that's the truth. I mean It will take the largest paradigm shift ever in human history!

ha. "Complex" is putting it mildly! but thanks:) And to all, the worry from all corners on how we "pay" for stuff like Social Insurance and other government perks is predicated on us having a stable NON-INFLATED currency in the future. That is not in the cards for us. The value of our money is gonna be ****. and the value of all dollar denominated "Social Security" checks is gonna be **** along with it. So there. Its about to get real Complex!

This country's problems and this "loss of rights??" ain't this administration's doings. What rights have we lost? They've been making everything illegal right after the time Clint Eastwood stopped cruising the Wild West as the high plains drifter. Dudes, what happened to patent medicines. Nothing like a patent medicine after a surf.

Everything people are currently upset aboot now had its roots during the last administration, but hey Haliburton made bank so it's cool, bru.

Right now the gov is shut down because of whiny b!tches who lost a legislative fight and an election are trying to make a name for themselves by trying to abolish something that passed in the congress and friggin witheld a supreme court hearing(which is so rare that laws ever go to The Supreme Court). They lost and can't be real men and accept it. Plus, man I need some doctorin'....as I am all messed up.

People who don't like taxes and hate the government: Do you like roads and police availibility when Lil Wayne's breaking into your crib.....remember he got a gun, too. Your gun might not save you. Plus you might not see his look-out......and he be got a gun too. The government, via your taxes, provides so many things y'all take for granted.

If you are a true patriot you won't mind shelling out some bucks for the good of your country.

The problem I have is that our government keeps passing laws meant to protect us from ourselves, and that sucks. And those right wing freedom fighters support every damn single one of them.......Pedestrain crossing laws?? Are you joshing me. Free the K2 !!

Anarchy isn't fair. I didn't say it would work, BTW. There is also a difference between not working because you don't want to and not working because you can't physically do it. I have never been opposed to the idea of welfare. It is the abuse that seems to cause all the problems.
Also, in anarchy, I would say there are no jobs, but only work. Working for the community, without worrying about whose job it is to do each task.

Oh and anarchy? Yeah that would work..........in a world full of Ward and June Cleavers.

Yeah no rules or regulations.....no consequences......no punishment...........Lil Wayne would have a field day. It would be nothing but predators and the prey. Man, anarchy is some punk rock anti-society pipedream propagated by people who have this strong desire to let everyone know how non-mainstream and fringe they are.

757 Surfer: Yeah the constitution would be nice.......but practically all of our laws are unconstitutional.

^^^ Agreed to an extent, I think what people are trying to do is create a utopia, and that will never happen. I agree w/PJB that Anarchy wouldn't work, but I also don't think ANY system would work, as we are human beings, full of imperfections and that will always be the reason for our downfall.

We already covered that it wouldn't work, my friend. We are just daydreaming of things that could never be.

Most of you people who complain aboot taxes and the government can barely take care of yourselves much less unite a nation or a "community" of over 300 MILLION people.......

Most of youse would be lost without the government, you just don't realize it. You don't know what you have until it's gone.....You don't realize all the government actually does positively.

Yes, it's so John Wayne American to act like you'd be completely self sufficient in a world of over 7 billion people without a centralizing unifying government. How far is your gun going to take you?

And youse people who blame the Obama, you can't stand that a black guy is president and/or you aren't too bright. Be specific in your complaints. Don't just throw some generalized BS.

It's amazing that a bunch of dudes who can't figure out when there will be surf(ON the friggin east coast) without surf predictin websites, somehow have become political science and law experts......Amazing

HA Ha tuck into that one surfer boys. If I angered you.......remember this is a surfing site, not The House of Representatives so chillax. I'll give you a box of Crackerjacks to soothe any hurt feelings...just PM me what I said to offend you and your home address.......

Yeah I think that some of these dudes have the idea of utopia and anarchy confused.........Gotta wait until you die for that...........Hi Jesus !!

Isn't assuming some sense of order completely contradictory to what anarchy is really(in it's most basic and genuine definition) all aboot?

These guys trying to make anarchy a political process would end up with a bastardized version of what we have now.....

Oh by the way, anyone up in these parts score thump bubs? Dudes, it was ON today. Steep, thick and juicy. Today was the first time I have been legitmately stoked in a long time.......Not just ocean-satisfied but friggin stoked......
