Some friends of mine were camping tonight and I stopped by. While I was walking out to the cabin I did notice the stars. Pretty crazy how clear and crisp they were

When you say why do people not want to live forever for me at one point you become at peace with your life and begin to embrace each day as a gift. You stop trying to see right and wrong in the small useless differences we have and realize we can both be right and wrong . This is nothing new to experience , it's more of a enlightening of your mind. No one knows with any assurance if theres an afterlife but we can all believe in what we need to s we continue to function as who we are. Life is highs and lows and we all balance that by how we react to different situations. Try this, at the end of each day think back on it and what made you smile and what caused you pain and start eliminating the pain, after about a week you'll stop thinking about the end and more about each day as a new beginning. That's all I got man, I'm done rambling.

 

I'm not religious. I'm not really spiritual. I tend to look at things from a "realist" point of view. This is a subject that I tend to step out of that realist thought of mind.

I believe every person has an energy about them. I use that word, energy, because there is no word to describe exactly what I mean. I believe when we pass that energy sticks around to the positive things in our lifes. Not ghosts and spirits, but just your "energy". Ever feel that closeness with someone who passed. Not there presence, but just that feeling inside of you. To better explain... My happiest moments are in the water, the people who know me, know this. They don't fully understand what surfing is to me but they understand that it is something extremely special. When I'm gone I know that they will be able to feel my energy at the beach and in my boards. They won't suddenly recall my happiest moments, but they will feel them. And that energy will bring a smile to there face.

We don't have to understand it but it's something Iv felt with others who've passed so it's what I believe

Stop fearing the unknown. Being afraid of things that may or may not happen is a huge energy drain. Learn to accept things as they are and deal with each one accordingly. Stop worrying about what happens when you die. Start worrying about what you do while you live.
