forecast looks like we're finally getting one of those windy onshore warm summer swells tomorrow. A-WOO !
checking the report every 20 minutes has finally paid off. a few hours ago it said tomorrow would be flat-knee high
anyone notice the very recent influx of losers on this once relatively civil,intelligent,surf-loving forum? every summer there's a few onshore windy crummy days where the surf pumps up a little, and it looks like tomorrow might be one,and here comes mr. posts 1 join date aug 2011.
clearly a troll (of someone who posts here & gets butthurt easily)...don't feed into it. personally, i'm stoked for tomorrow afternoon! i wonder if i still know how to paddle...?
Whats up with alll the new member wiseasses. This is a surf forum not a juvenile pissing forum. show some respect. When you grow up maybe youll realize that your keyboard doesnt mean s&^^. We all know who you are in the lineup. Have you Realized some people actually use this site for surf related matters and a fake name Pu@@& Sh&5 Talking kook doesnt really mean jack to any established surfer.
In most cases it one person some People Hate for no reason . Just gotta laught it off and pay it no mind
id have to say im probably one of the aforementioned dbags given ive spewed some nonsense more than my share. if anyones offended by anything i may have let loose , sorry. that being said if anything on these forums is taken too seriously then you perhaps should reevaluate whats really important in your life. for the record just about everything ive said on here was in jest and meant to provide some levity to an otherwise hot crowded flat dismal summer. sorry for the grammatic errors to anyone that annoys.
well,i disagree.i like written discussion on surfing, and many people here-Micah,42,LB,Matt,Ray,to name a few are helpful to my stoke,so,since you joined in April, come February you might see my point. The losers who are here these past couple days are the ones who need to re-evaluate.this is Swellinfo, and there is surfing info here.i have learned a lot here from a lot of different kind, helpful stoked-out dudes.
surfing discussion is the whole point i guess and no doubt the above mentioned are a pleasure to read . presidential elections turn into 20 page nanny nanny booboos, 420 threads go on defending illegal drugs, opinions notwithstanding on that, and many other non surfing related topics go across here. i only joined in april as far as forums go but ive been reading them longer than that and enjoying what micah puts out tremendously so im not sure what the february things about. ive been surfing and superstoked for 27 years and actually have a very positive outlook on surfing and life in general. am i abrasive?sure,am i intolerant, maybe, but aint nobody perfect. it takes all kinds and if theyre losers to you so be it.they probably dont care what a stranger thinks anyway.
yeah, malicious and unkind, losers. and the non-surf/swell threads are not what i'm referring to. the february thing is about how less losers are on the forum in the winter. anyway i never accused you personally, you convicted yourself, and deserve a lot of credit for admitting your guilt,so,that's awesome, and thank you,but i was not specifically thinking of you.i was simply stating there's been a lot of losers posting idiotic crap the past couple of days.the guy i referred to up top here had his post removed, anyway.
back on topic, i paddled out after work this afternoon & all i got was seasick. there were a couple small peaks coming thru, but the cross-chop destroyed any chance whatsoever of getting a decent wall lined up. water was warm, tho.
over here it was really fun in my opinion. this morning it was decent size but the current and chop made it pretty gnarly. i still enjoyed it though, one of the best swells we've had in a while
well,42,you and Matt both said you had fun days down there this Summer, but we had no sand at all.today was the best waves up here since july 9.fun with some sets and inside sections.we got some sand returned.
oh, don't get me wrong. it was by far the biggest we've seen since that early july swell. i'm planning on giving it another go tomorrow morning. the wind has died a bit, so hopefully it'll be a bit clearer, if a bit smaller as well. best case scenario w/ this little bump is, like you said, to more favorably arrange the sand in advance of the real hurricane swells in the fall.
With the wind dying off, and the tide near dead low, things really cleaned up for the early evening session. Not to get too stoked for waist high wind swell, but definitely the most fun I've had on a board in weeks. Anyone think that by Monday it'll turn out that this wind swell today was better than anything Emily is gonna bring?
oh. ive got a conscience and i think things are about me all the time.also kind of a smarty pants. sorry man . its a weird combo to live with
you called it...fun as hell this morning, 3 ft and light onshores not even bad enough to really put much texture on it. So typicall that for a week everyones been talking about Emily this, Emily that, and our month long flat spell is broke not by anything tropical but wind swell from a little local system.
