Winter Booties

    I'm reaching the limit with my 3mm booties and need to upgrade to 5mm or 7mm. Any recommendations on booties? 5mm vs 7mm? Round Toe vs Split Toe? Any brand to look at vs. stay away from?

    I got the 7mm rip curl F-bombs and they are warm and comfy in a Round toe. Far as Split toe I never has a set that didnt leak over time

    Yeah I have Oneill Lobster Mitts in 5mil and they are the best ones I have had to date

    I was wearing 3 mill boots last year and this fall I dished out a few bucks and bought the Oneill heat 7 mill.There nice and toasty.If your going to spend that much money on boots you might as well throw the extra 20 bucks or whatever it is and go for the 7 mill.When your out in the lineup and the water temp is in the upper 30's just ask your feet what they would like.

    7mm F-Bombs are the bomb. Most water tight boots I ever had.

    Just broke in a pair of 7mm Xcel Drylock's on Friday. After 2 hours I was the last one of my group out of the water (reported temp of 41 degrees), and my feet were actually warm. Very, very impressed. There were parts of my booties that were still dry. They were very comfortable too. No problem moving from my split toe 5mm's to these. Hardly knew the difference.

    I got them off Whiskey Militia for an amazing price, but I think they're well worth their list price. Great product. I know I won't be cold this winter.
