I had a banana seat bike. It snapped at the neck when I was jumping my ramp, a board on a brick. Yeah, that was a fun ride

stingrays don't give a fck about your boots. shuffle your feet and sannde reconne. if you do get stung, know this - its a protein-based poison, molecularly speaking, and you can't do much about it, BUT here's what i picked up in popoyo - get a bucket of scolding hot water and soak your foot (if you got stung in the foot, obv) for like 2 hours
it'll puss up and swell and sh1t the next day and turn all blackish and fcked up. but it'll pass in a few days and you'll be leaning into your hacks like a champ in no time. RUM HELPS. lots of it. hope you just get scraped and not punctured. well... hope you don't have to do any of the above, firstly, but then... sht happens.

I've never shuffled and have never been stung I've been ****ed up by a horseshoe crab lol. He was confused crashed into my leg and started climbing up it I panicked and jumped on to his flipper tail. Now I've stepped On about 50 stingrays but I am beyond lucky. I guess the stingrays shuffle for me I don't shuffle for them. I've even seen them in 1 foot water just swimming by.

"Scolding hot water" - - for the Swellie pictionary

Another reason this place is the only place for medicale advisements.

Stingray got me through a boot in San Diego. Not a good time. Pain of a different dimension is about as best as I can describe that toxin. Yep, "scolding" water is the only thing that worked.

Also did a quick antibiotic dose for a few days. Stingrays can infect you in a flash, and they've been known to pack MRSA into wounds especially the 'rays that slither 'round polluted places like San Diego.

Be sure to bring water to a rapid boil before inserting foot, peel layers of skin off as it falls off, poison gone. Problem solved.

Same as coral reef. Board easier to fix than feet, less painfull.

To avoid: Very easy. Do a backwards slapdown (arms extended sideways to take the impact - wax on wax off) in the whitewater in front of you so you don't penetrate the surface too abruptly and get eaten alive or stung on the cock by Killer Stingrays. This maneuver will require a 180 degree pirouette dismount in front of your board at a 20 degree angle minimum away from the nose to avoid impact with the board. Yelling "Krikey Mate!!!" is discouraged, as it attracts large sea snakes, the most poisonous in the entire bloody ocean.
