Watching this begs the question: On that wave, would you rather get stuck in the lip leading to an elevator-drop wipe out, make the drop but take the lip on the head, or mess up on the face and go over the falls??

 

Must really suck to purposefully bail so you can get under water, only to land instead on a concrete face then get rolled like gorilla biscuits

 

I'd Rather Shoot photos from the beach. Those waves are what i have nightmares about!

 

I would take "C"...at least you then have water below you and also water above you, somewhat insulated from bottom below, and board above....

It would be brutal no matter what, so I'd opt for the drop first, then the beating. At least I make it all the way to the bottom on my board.

 

Why are there guys wearing leashes in that gnar. Like that's gonna help.
