No, but one of my friends owned a small blue shack on those hills right in front of Tres Palmas. I grew up in a town called Rio Piedras, which is part of Metropolitan San Juan, a suburban bedroom town, so to speak. We used to go to Rincon most weekends when it was breaking, or, during the week during vacation periods. We surfed a lot in the San Juan area (La Ocho, Aviones, etc). I left in 1969, returning only for surf episodes. Although, to answer your question more appropriately, I did have very long hair for a while, but never did the cult stuff. I have, as you might observe, a rather normal thinking pattern. I was even a state trooper for a while in the 1970s, in the USA, but I found that the job did not agree with my personality- too easy going. I used to take kids I caught with pot home, rather than bust them. I would tell their parents to not punish them--they were only doing what I did as a kid. Years later some would thank me for not giving them a police record; one is an MD now!! But I love to go back every year, visit friends, stay at a small B&B in those very hills, and even have thought to build a small place for my wife and I. Final decision to come later...... Anyway, baddy, thanks for asking--it was fun to remember......
