Do get your B12 blood test though. It can slowly destroy your neurological system if untreated. Creates bad muscle cramps.
Lots of good ideas, Id like to add: stop drinking any kind of soda, stay hydrated or hydrate 2-3 days ahead of time, get enough salt in your system; hydrating can wash salt out and cause cramps, stretch often. Some people get relief from drinking tonic water because it has quinine, the supplement magnesium helped me more than any other single thing. But that was before i quit drinking coke, I replaced it with diluted Gatorade and cramps are not a problem any more.

Eat lots of bananas. The potassium helps with cramps. Drink a lot of water. Gatorade or Poweraid is good for adding salt back into your muscles.
