Was fixing a board for a friend this afternoon found something pretty interesting...nt., pic below. Seems like the 7s X2 epoxy lay up entails a vacuum bagged wood veneer deck. Here's global description of their epoxy board like this: "X2 Epoxy technology uses a multi-layered sandwich process that produces a light yet incredibly durable surfboard that’s ideal for travel." First time I've seen this type of lam since surftech discontinued it a while ago...seems pretty odd for for global to take the time do this type of work on their boards. Anyone seen this type of set-up on the new pop-outs floating around out there?
