I did what I normally do and stopped quick to check north Monmouth since that's closest to me and it was flat, deal was sick this morning though. Avon closed They had their pick up truck riding up and down the beach with the red and blue lights flashing telling every body to stay out of the water. That means it will be closed tommorow and Sat. as well. (Most likely). I talked to Lt.Pelic of the Avon P.D.really nice guy (Surfs). He put it on the head of the Water Safety Director. " Its up to them, its their call" The guy stayed around for awhile talking to every body that showed up to surf telling them what the deal was and what he knew of the surf in other towns (Police radio ?) and where he knew the beaches where open. I have to say that my job keeps me busy . Between Family and work If I get out once or twice a week for a Dawn Parole session I am happy. My job is pretty cool 2 weeks paid vaction and a week of sick to start and more after you are there for 5 years. I used up most of my time when my wife gave birth to our third child and I wiped out all my sick when I got swine flu. Good thing the year is not far from being over I guess

Yes there is something stopping me....lack of business sense, salesmanship skills(some people can just sell..the most important aspect of getting rich in capitalism is being able to sell), luck, market timing, competition, academic prowess(ie being able to get into harvard), and heredity. If anyone could get rich if they wanted to, everyone would be rich. But of course that is illogical. The majority need to be poor for a few to be rich and control everything. Been going on since feudal times with landowners and peasants. Everyone can't be rich the same way I can't make the NBA. I don't have the genetic gifts needed to make the NBA and I find it absurd that these guys are making 100's of millions of dollars just because they can shoot a jumpshot. They should be happy just making a descent living playing a game they love and being able to basically get any chick they want and all the glory and fame. This American greedy winner takes ALL mentality is screwed up and makes life miserable for the majority. Plain and simple. It's not just America of course. Look at India and Russia. Do you know how many people have advanced college degree's in India? Yet poverty is ubiquitous. Sending more and more people to college racking up debt is not an answer. College should be for scientists, doctors ect., not a requirement to get a basic job. Of course there are a ton of rich Indian's. The majority suffers to keep the rich rich. Russian people are worse off now under capitolism than under communism(I don't believe in communism). Of course there are more billionaire's in Russia than you can imagine.

I wish I lived in Denmark from a economic standpoint. Much better quality of life and life is much easier and more enjoyable. Misery has nothing to do with having or not having material things. Happiness has nothing to do with having or not having material things. Happiness comes from being at peace with oneself and their place in the world. If more Americans would stop chasing the almighty dollar in hopes of finding happiness in it, then there would be a whole lot less of this self constructed misery of which you speak.
