I started off with books by and audio from Thich Nhat Hahn. Easy rads and easy application instruction towards practice. Since then I moved onto mantra meditation. The best and easiest way, I've found, to learn this was from youtube tutorials. The first mantra meditation and one i still do today was So Hum. But the one that has the most profound effect on me was the Sikh mantra Sa Ta Na Ma, or Sat Nam, or better known as Kundalini. It has brought me to a new level of perception and changed my view of the world. There are all kinds. Zen, Buddhist, Transcendental, Third eye meditations, and Mantras from different sects like Krishna, Sikh, Shiva, etc, but yeah Thich Nhat Hahn is a good starting point.
I never got into guided meditations. They always seemed too distracting.

Hahn wrote a good one i finished a year ago i think it was love letters to the earth

just picked up "original wisdom" by robert wolff on a suggestion. gonna give it a read. has anybody red anything by david abram?

Thanks. There is so much out there, when I started digging, I was not sure I wanted to proceed. I will check out Hahn.
