That was awesome! I don't see many SUP's, but the next time I'm at Cstreet, and one tries to burn me, I'll remember to go for the paddle.

    Nice.

Lunchtrays are the new surf mats. Lunchtrays are so hot right now. Trust me.

Lunch trays are dangerous. Ski, snowboard, skate and surf and my only broken bone was a compound fracture of my hand after crashing and burning on an ice hill in Western NY on a lunch tray...

I ride one more often than not.

I think the mat is much more fun than a boog when the waves are kind of soft. The mat has so much more glide, it just flies over flat spots and connects sections where any board except an old school log would sink.

    Pretty critical.

    Lesson learned, I guess, right?
On a wave, the lunch tray is the ultimate minimalist way to surf...Aside from body surfing, in the nude, with no fins.
To lunch tray properly, you need swim fins and a McDonald's tray or any other establishment's serving tray. I like brown or black trays. The dark pigment gives a little more flex...Kinda like skateboard wheels, brah. You know, the black wheels are grippier and softer. Also, lunch trays slowly sink. So if your tray escapes you on a nice sized wave, you gotta hustle to get that b i t c h back. There's no leashes, brah, plus that's littering if you lose it.
This is just you, the tray, and the ocean. Treading water for an hour and swimming/kicking into waves is hard work. So far, after every surf session lately I break out the tray. From knee high to head high, the tray gets a turn if I have time.

Growing up in the late 70s early 80s we didn't have boogers, we had surf mats.

if I was the sup guy,i would've rammed that paddle so far up that guys azz.im not a sup supporter lol,but u don't do shyt like that.thats how people get beat up,ran over, sliced up with fins.i imagine a sup hurts a helluva lot harder than a surf mat, which im guessing is like a doormat?

I don't know if anyone remembers, but the VB lifeguards used to rent out green canvas, oval shaped surf mats (rafts). You could easily stand up on them and people did. They were much more fun than boogie boards.

HAha oh man that was totally funny!! Even just the sound of him riding that thing.. Then it appears that he gently maneuvers/paddles over to the guy and pulls him off his board by first trying to get his leash... Squish squish squish... Then grabbing his paddle and yanking the guy off! Lol just funny! Oh and Uhhh sorry I didn't see you!

Growing up spending countless hours as a mini-grom in warm water shorebreak, I can say emphatically surf mats will give you the Worst Tittie Rash Known To Man! Now that we have a cool hi tech thing called rashguards, I'd love to take a newfangled mat out for a spin on some big meaty stuff, just to go all bounce house.
