I've done that in NJ (Mt Creek) & California (Mt High)
Both mountains suck balls. Surfing is way more fun

true, the only good resorts in CA start just north of fresno. Don't really recommend snow sports and surfing in the same day...you'd be one wiped out noodle by the end of the day (leads to poor judgment/injuries). I have done both in the same week and highly recommend that.

Great cross-training. Snowboarding makes your surfing bottom turn exponentially more solid and high altitude training makes you feel close to superhuman at sea level (our resorts are 7000 ft+). Surfing helps you up in the mtns with overall core strength, cardio, flow, etc.

Yea I know what you mean about the altitude... Went skiing in Park City Utah and spent a good amount of days at the 10,000 ft level on Jupiter Peak hiking and skiing the bowls there 2 years ago.. It was tough but at the end of the week I came home and felt like I could leap over tall buildings in a single bound!! LOL. Amazing what the altitude can do for your body when it comes to training... thinking about blood doping for next surf season!!! ha ha ha
