what happened to your car What happened to your car and where were you? Some punks think they have some "secret spot" and are vandilizing cars it would be nice to know. Or did you get ticketed and towed now that its April and you you didnt pay the parking meter.
Surfing lineups are just getting more crowded period. It seems that the newb's all goto the top spots and clog them up I really dont know why this is maybe its where they first saw people surf of they just follow the crowd not really sure but it is sort of annoying when the best spots even in the colder months are getting full of winter kooks and yes I went to a popular spot at dawn and got a few waves before the masses showed up and I did see some major kookage before 8am middle aged longboarders mostly and I am middle aged so nothing against the old guys but I just laghed and said ok time to go get some waves to myself. There was people surfing everywhere and the surf was way better than I expected.. I am done getting upset with the crowds in my mind I have a few more weeks left mostly weekdays to surf my fav spot then I am done with it till oct yea sept was ridiculus this past year also it donsnt start on may 31st and end with labor day any more those years are over!! Luckily I have other interests take a trip in summer etcc... Dudeman you the reason OCNJ is so crowded is cause surfing has gained popularity with the main stream everyone wants to do it and even though people say they arent winter kooks I have witnessed it a lot this winter. Lineups in NJ arent regulated and beyond my comprehension why every one needs to goto the well known better spots when they dont even have the ability to catch a set wave! Oh well explore around a little OC I lived and surfed there for years and you can go find a wave away from the crowd on any given swell but I do feel your pain..
another thing about VB crowds... why doesn't the military population in VB surf at pendleton? That place is fantastic and you have to be military to surf it, but its always a ghost town and the sailors are all out at first street??? WTF dudes?

I will check it out. I start a job that will give me base access so I'll see what's up. When I've been at Croatan, looking through the fence, I notice the beach is empty and eerie like, except for an occasional jogger.
It's only like that during the winter, come spring and summer it's usually crowded. Not really the greatest of spots, but I've had some fun days there
complaining about crowds is like complaining about getting wet. seriously, get over it or find a new sport. it will only get worse.
Why couldn't you thank your sponsors on the site? Even more important, why did you pull that out of everything which is pretty irrelevant?
If you think Jersey is crowded with "shoobies", "kooks", "newbies", or whatever else you want to call them, then do yourself a favor and stay in NJ. I promise you this, if you ever get the chance to travel, you will realize the definition of crowded. AUS, like North Narabeen, makes Manasquan look desolate. And the difference, EVERYBODY else surfs so well, that YOU end up looking like a kook.
