I think it's next week... Checkout the wipeout nominees. The one is "ehhhh", but that last one at Mavs is insane, and the one at the French Reef... OMG. That is one of the meatier paddle in waves I have ever seen top to bottom.Brutal!

"Somebody just got pulverized" had me laughing. I just want to know why people would want to do that. Ughhhh. Kudos to those who do...

Sobering experience just watching those in slo-mo. Can anyone who's been in drink like that describe the difference between those thrashings and what we are accustomed to between OH-DOH?

It seems like the more you know, the smaller your nuts get. Wait...should this be in the testes thread?

Why not...so you have a story (and not your inaugural :) )

Luckily it wasn't the nads but a bigger day at hatteras reminded me or the strength of water. I can only imagine although that's gotta be one hell of a thrill

Is there really gonna be a swelly regarding nut injuries?

Gotten pitched in 20ft+ surf, but NOTHING like anything in that video. Sunset Cliffs. Doesn't always break top to bottom, but I have cannon balled into the flats on huge waves, but i went deep enough that there was nothing bad happening. I have never been caught on the face like that with the lip just rolling down. I would imagine that turns into a solid 30+ second hold down. In most situations like that, those guys carry the little portable air tubes to take a breath under water. Some have vests on. But in a wave like that one in France, I would think that wearing a flotation device might make things worse. Like if the buoyancy was fighting against the impact. I.E. Huge lip trying to push you deep while your flotation device is working against it. Makes me think that it would trap you in the harshest area of the underwater washing machine instead of letting you slingshot down towards the sea floor until things roll through.

Again, never been in NOTHING like that. My wife would have had me arrested and thrown in the loonie bin before she would let that happen. The 25 year old me says "Hell yeah, with the right board, I would surf that" and the 32 year old version just slapped the 25 year old version in the back of the head. Dunno, sometimes Mavericks doesn't look that bad. When things are good, it looks easy. With a 9 foot gun, I tell myself I would be all over that, no worries. Until you see the video of things going wrong there, then it puts you back into reality.
