Does it seem like each decent swell that has come through in 2014 has just absolutely turned on around 5:30pm, barreled all night with perfect winds and is then chest high or less the next morning? I fear this swell is going to do just that for us down in Hatteras. Anyone else notice this?

I think Superstorn Sandy has scared any big swell from showing up on the East Coast. Last year in late February / early March was the last time we had glassy overhead waves for more than a half a day. Ever since I jumped on this forum, it has only broke good from 8:45 p.m. to 4:45 am. The winds, tides, and swell timing have conspired to test my patience on a daily, if not hourly basis. I have thought seriously about not posting for a week or so to see what happens. PM me with donations, bribes, or swag, and I'll refrain for a couple of weeks or so, depending on the payoff.
