yea after further research it turns out to be cownose rays.they might not be sharks, but they have poisonous barbs tail thing they got there lol,and if I saw some fins id drive a few miles down the road.im not going to test it and die like the crocodile hunter.i was surprised they were that close to shore, like that's knee deep water.btw its not my video lol,i saw it last thing last night and shared it. I catch these little guys all the time, fukin nuisance they are.so I guess I can say I saw a shark lol
that maneater might be dead but I'm sure he has some grown a$$ kids swimming around...them grown azz kids got kids lol
Is that a shrill, shrieking sound or just a 12 yr old girl with her knickers in a twist? More people died in 2015 from effing up their selfie shot than did from shark attacks. Cepriano, no peace no glory.
That's most likely the bluntnose variety, if they're in your area. They're known for nearly beaching themselves... they can swim in water that barely covers their bodies. Cool stuff...

Went out this morning- some small waves and cold water. Saw ALOT of splashing and fish type of activity just about everywhere . Could not verify what it was. Some looked like bunker type of activity - others off shore where bigger surface disturbance - but no fins spotted. I don't know much about the Rays- but it's not uncommon to hear of shark sightings this year... Specially in the last few years with social media ect.. And Obama... For passing that law a few years ago about shark hunting or something... Thanks Obama.
this was Belmar 2 days ago.umm yea we may have some rays but these look like sharks lol, maybe il get to see one in the water tomorrow morning
Must be just outside the Belmar shark nets. And if that wave's a Belmar 23 fotter that shark has a 20' dorsal fin. Yikes!
Was chilling at the beach with my son in Spring lake on Wednesday .We saw about a 6 footer. At first i didn't want to come to any conclusions and just say shark but the last time it came up confirmed it.It is the ocean and we know they are there but it's pretty cool to see.We hardly ever see them like Florida the sharknado capital.
yea I never saw a shark in jersey in the water.i caught plenty of baby sandsharks but that's about it.pretty rare up here, they are coming in pretty close.especially with the murky water lol, atleast in florida u might see them coming.doesnt scare me out the water but il take an extra minute looking at the water before I paddle out
Ya,this was in waist high water. I'm not to afraid of sharks.More afraid of the way people drive on the road.By all means I wouldn't want a bull, tiger or white near me but it would probably be one heck of a rush. When my grandmother was young she was a avid swimmer and had one circle her in belmar. My dad was a kid and on the beach. That has to freak you out thou.
Lifeguards called all the kids out of the water today at Little Monmouth. Three small sharks cruzin the beach less than 10' from shore. Ive been surfing in NJ for over thirty years, this crap never happened before this year. WTF!!!
Man y'all are posting this about sharks I swear people from New Jersey have never seen a shark before. You know what last summer I had 8 foot hammerhead 30 feet off the beach right where I was surfing a minute after I come back and I look at my girlfriend I'm like seriously I know you hate me but I didn't know you wanted me to get eaten. North Carolina down to Florida it's like a big dinner bowl.
Oh sad lame-o Brad if you got your **** down in the water would you go after it hey yank it was that wasn't this dude I can't remember now Who got their **** thrown in the water
