It appeared to be a statement, to me; now, whether it was a disingenuous statement is a matter of interpretation. Regardless, many additional statements have been made, since such time.

 

I wish that I had access to my editing software; this would be so much more fun, darn it, because I thoroughly enjoy being creative with my photos.

I am not so sure about that being the case, red dog. I do not believe that KR took that photo, nor bothered to purchase it from the owner; additionally, it may not have been retrieved from a "creative commons" (yet another communist code word, of many, these days) website. That photo may very well have a price on it.

Ohhh, very much so serious. For instance, I am aware that FB used to have a rule that you must own the photo, if you upload it to your FB page; however, being the little commie website that it is, people frequently upload photos which do not belong to them. To further elaborate, many individuals on FB believe that if someone uploads a photo which is a portrait of said "many", said "many" have rights to it, and then said "many" take it, uploading it to their own FB pages; when, in fact, said photo belongs to the photographer having taken the photo, even if it does not have a registered copyright filed. It is much easier to sue said "many", if the photographer actually copyrights a photo. All is the reason that I will not upload any decent photos to the web (unless it is purchased from me, of course, but then there exist various types of copyrights, as well, or if I simply feel like giving photos away, which I have done many times over with people in the past...).
