Correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think waves can just "freeze". Not ocean waves anyway. The amount of salinity in ocean waves is too great to be able to freeze, it would have to be like an instant ice age for waves to be frozen in place... Now freshwater waves might be a lot easier, but to freeze a wave in place is still not easy. I guess it's kinda possible, but there would still need to be an instant ice age to freeze a wave in place.
I've been surfing in Maine /NH/MA waters all year round for 20 years . It's all about ice cream headache . Btw EMASS you wouldn't last 20 minutes in those conditions and your junk would go from your normal green bean size to a pea
