Any one remember Willie Nelson's line in the 1979 movie The Electric Horseman?
"I'm gonna get me a bottle of tequila and find me one of them Keno girls that can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch and just kinda kick back."

We are a week away from the full moon but that sucker was bright tonight. I'd charge clean swell under that light.

Brah, get on it. I charged moonlight rides on the swell we got during the October full moon. There are cats that surf when it's not even full and I will soon. Some of these nights are still damn bright. Do it for the stories sandblasters.

Idgaf, southern boys so hard? Hmmmm.

Emass, from 27 ft swells to midnight surfing, you have it on lock, not bad for a yearling grom!

Established surfers outside of this place tend not to have conversations about the specifics of a potential swell. This is because they are experienced enough to know that anything can happen. In other words, the "supposed to be good" day actually sucks quite often, and the "crappy" day can end up being super fun. You do not know!!! Wait for it, live it, and go with it, because truly, you and everybody else have no clue what it will be, until your riding it (waves in this case). Do you have any idea how many times I've heard surfers say "it's supposed to be off shore", me included? Entirely to many for me to partake in these ridiculous "the waves are gonna be this on this day at this time" threads. It's absurd, really. A potential swell on the horizon? Ok, cool, leave it at that because that's all it is, potential!!!

She can bestow the greatest of gifts and extinguish the greatest of lives.............. At her will and never at yours!!! Never!!!

Show some respect for the incredible powers of the sea, anything less is extremely foolish.

By carrying on with these threads indicates disagreement, which further indicates how kooky some of you are.

The great thing about humans is our adaptability. Evolve!!!

We are all wicked cool. Just ask anyone on here, and they will tell you how cool it is to be them.
Sucks to see a swell pop up at night with no chance of getting on it. I have surfed at night one time. It was in the spotlights of a restaurant on Salisbury beach.(name drop.. oh dang)
I feel way cool because of this. I may make a banner
